  • Publication number: 20040165875
Abstract: The present invention discloses a camera capable of reducing the size by reducing the range of movement of a view finder driving member which operates interlocked with an image-taking lens barrel. The camera includes an image-taking lens barrel which performs a operation in a collapse region and performs a zooming operation in an image-taking region, a view finder optical system including a movable lens unit and a view finder driving member having a cam which drives the movable lens unit. The image-taking lens barrel operates interlocked with the view finder driving member in the image-taking region and the interlock between the image-taking lens barrel and the view finder driving member is released in the collapse region.

  • Publication number: 20040165874
Abstract: A camera can reduce the size of the camera. The camera comprises a lens barrel which allows the focal length of an image-taking optical system to be changed, a view finder unit for observing an object image, a cam member having a cam for driving the view finder unit, which moves around the lens barrel in a first area and a barrel driving mechanism which is arranged around the lens barrel in a second area and drives the lens barrel.

  • Patent number: 6663300
Abstract: The invention provides a camera including a hold barrel member which holds an image-taking optical unit; a barrier member, disposed on a subject side of the hold barrel member, which opens or closes a substantially rectangular opening; and a barrier driving member, disposed between the barrier member and the hold barrel member, which drives the barrier member in such a way as to rotate on an optical axis of the image-taking optical unit. In a state in which the barrier member opens the opening, the hold barrel member forms a long side part of the opening, and the barrier driving member forms a short side part of the opening.

  • Patent number: 6603609
Abstract: A lens barrel includes a variable power lens unit, an aperture-variable light-amount adjusting unit having an adjusting member that adjusts the fully open state of the aperture, and a variable power lens control mechanism that shifts the variable power lens unit from a first variable power position to a second variable power position. The variable power lens control mechanism moves the variable power lens unit beyond the second variable power position, then returns it toward the second variable power position, and stops it at the second variable power position. The lens barrel further comprises a cam member having a cam portion with which the adjusting member is engaged, and moves relative to the light-amount adjusting unit in operative association with the control action of the variable power lens control mechanism.
