  • Patent number: 8818805
Abstract: A sound processing apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an input correction unit that corrects a difference between characteristics of a first input sound input from a first input apparatus and characteristics of a second input sound input from a second input apparatus. The apparatus further includes a sound separation unit that separates the first input sound corrected by the input correction unit and the second input sound into a plurality of sounds. The apparatus further includes a sound type estimation unit that estimates sound types of the plurality of sounds. The apparatus further includes a mixing ratio calculation unit that calculates a mixing ratio of each sound in accordance with the estimated sound type. The apparatus further includes a sound mixing unit that mixes the plurality of sounds separated by the sound separation unit in the mixing ratio calculated by the mixing ratio calculation unit.

  • Patent number: 8422695
Abstract: A sound processing apparatus includes a sound determination portion operable to determine whether an input sound includes a first sound emitted from a particular source based on location information of the source, a sound separation portion operable to separate the input sound into the first sound and a second sound emitted from a source different from the particular source if the sound determination portion determines that the input sound includes the first sound, and a sound mixing portion operable to mix the first sound and the second sound separated by the sound separation portion at a prescribed volume ratio.

  • Publication number: 20120057722
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a noise removing apparatus, including: an object sound emphasis section adapted to carry out an object sound emphasis process for observation signals of first and second microphones to produce an object sound estimation signal; a noise estimation section adapted to carry out a noise estimation process for the observation signals to produce a noise estimation signal; a post filtering section adapted to remove noise components remaining in the object sound estimation signal using the noise estimation signal; a correction coefficient calculation section adapted to calculate, for each frequency, a correction coefficient for correcting the post filtering process based on the object sound estimation signal and the noise estimation signal; and a correction coefficient changing section adapted to change those of the correction coefficients which belong to a frequency band suffering from spatial aliasing such that a peak appearing at a particular frequency is suppressed.
