  • Publication number: 20210269649
Abstract: Problem: To provide highly water-repellent layered silicate-coated silica particles with higher safety. Solution: A layered silicate-coated body has a silica particle, a saponite-like layered silicate derivative coating at least part of the silica particle, and a hydrophobic functional group introduced to the silica particle and/or the layered silicate derivative.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 24, 2021
    Publication date: September 2, 2021
Inventors: Ryuichi SEIKE, Mai SUEYOSHI, Tomohiko OKADA, Sakura SHIMOMURA
  • Publication number: 20210198493
Abstract: A silicate-coated body contains: a mica particle; a first silicate coating at least part of the mica particle; and an ionic organic colorant adsorbed to the first silicate. The ionic organic colorant includes at least one selected from the group consisting of amaranth, new coccine, phloxine B, rose bengal, acid red, fast green, indigo carmine, lithol rubine B, and lithol rubine BCA.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 21, 2019
    Publication date: July 1, 2021
Inventors: Ryuichi SEIKE, Mai SUEYOSHI, Takayoshi HAYASHI
  • Publication number: 20210171778
Abstract: A silicate-coated body contains: a mica particle; a first silicate coating at least part of the mica particle; and a functional substance that is carried by the first silicate.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 21, 2019
    Publication date: June 10, 2021
Inventors: Ryuichi SEIKE, Mai SUEYOSHI, Takayoshi HAYASHI
  • Publication number: 20190359830
Abstract: A silicate-coated body has a substrate, silica and/or a silica modified product adhered to a surface of the substrate, and a first silicate coating at least part of the substrate via the silica and/or the silica modified product.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 30, 2017
    Publication date: November 28, 2019
Inventors: Ryuichi SEIKE, Takayoshi HAYASHI, Tomohiko OKADA, Mai SUEYOSHI
  • Patent number: 9637638
Abstract: The present invention provides an iron oxide-coated layered silicate pigment that has no interference color, strongly exhibits the color inherent in iron oxide, and is excellent in gloss. The pigment of the present invention is an iron oxide-coated layered silicate pigment comprising a layered-silicate plate particle as base, and an iron oxide coated on the plate particle; wherein the iron oxide does not coat the surface portion of the plate particle or the iron oxide is localized on the edge portion rather than the surface portion of the plate particle. As the iron oxide, at least one kind selected from black iron oxide (Fe3O4) and red iron oxide (Fe2O3) can be used preferably. As the layered silicate, a mica-group layered silicate can be used preferably. The iron oxide-coated layered silicate pigment of the present invention can be incorporated into cosmetic preferably.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 23, 2013
Date of Patent: May 2, 2017
    Assignee: TOPY KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA
