  • Patent number: 11078609
Abstract: A weft withdrawing device of an air jet loom includes a blow nozzle blowing a weft that is ejected from a weft insertion main nozzle and determined to be a weft insertion failure to guide the weft to a weft withdrawing passage, a weft introducing duct that is integrally swingable with a sley forward and backward, a weft withdrawing mechanism withdrawing the weft guided to the weft introducing duct, and a weft sensor optically detecting the weft. The weft withdrawing device of the air jet loom includes a weft guide member. The weft guide member includes a cloth fell side top portion and a let-off side top portion. The cloth fell side top portion is located above the weft withdrawing passage.

  • Patent number: 5341152
Abstract: Under a transparent board-like digitizer, a screen of the same size as that of the digitizer is positioned. Scenes of a display device is shown on the screen. A co-ordinates standard of the digitizer is set to be identical with that of the screen. Consequently, the point indicated on the digitizer of a first cursor device is shown at a position corresponding to that of the point indicated by means of the cursor. In a circle drawing mode of the digitizer, when the operator places the cursor device on the digitizer and co-ordinates data are inputted to a computer, a plot circle corresponding to the co-ordinates data is displayed on the screen. When the operator makes the plot circle by means of the cursor device, the computer selects a radial input system. On the other hand, when the operator uses the cursor device and selects the exterior of the plot circle, a transient point input system is selected.

A co-ordinates standard of the digitizer is set to be identical with that of the screen. Thereby, the point indicated on the digitizer of a first cursor device is shown at a position corresponding to that of the point indicated by means of the cursor. The screen displays a right-angle scale lines controlled by a second cursor device on the digitizer. The right-angle scale lines can carry out parallel movements and rotations on the screen. In a drafting mode of the digitizer, the operator hits each points shown on the digitizer through the first cursor device on the basis of, or with reference to the right-angle scale lines in order to draw patterns on the screen. The center of the right-angle scale lines is moved to, or into, an area of the original pattern on the screen.

  • Patent number: 5297254
Abstract: A transparent board-like digitizer is placed near a display screen. Images of the same size as that of the digitizer images entered on the digitizer are displayed on the screen. A co-ordinates standard of the digitizer is set to be identical with that of the screen. Thereby, the point indicated on the digitizer of a first cursor device is shown at a position corresponding to that of the point indicated by the cursor. The screen displays right-angle scale lines controlled by a second cursor device on the digitizer. The right-angle scale lines can carry out parallel movements and rotations on the screen.

  • Patent number: 5061057
Abstract: In order to make hard and soft contact lenses having a pore diameter and a pore density optimum for use as oxygen permeable contact lenses, the contact lens after molding is subjected to irradiation of a polyvalent heavy ion beam having a mass number of 2 to 100 (preferably 10 to 80) and an ion energy of 10M eV (preferably 50M eV) or higher, at an ion radiation density of 10 to 10.sup.9 ions/cm.sup.2 (preferably 10.sub.2 to 10.sub.5 ions/cm.sup.2) and thereafter ultrasonically etched (preferably at 10 to 50 MHz) at a temperature of 4 to 50.degree. C. (preferably 10.degree. to 30.degree. C.) in the presence of chloroacetic acid (preferably tricholoracetic acid).

  • Patent number: 4418729
Abstract: A shuttleless loom weft detaining device comprises a drum around which a weft yarn is wound prior to its introduction to a weft inserting nozzle, the drum including a frustoconical section, a cylindrical section integral with the frustoconical section, a projecting section radially and outwardly projecting over the radial level of the cylindrical section, and a connecting section integral with the projecting section to connect the radial top level of the projecting section with the radial level of the cylindrical section and located to leave the cylindrical section between it and the frustoconical section, and apparatus for catching the weft yarn in association with the drum peripheral surface to detain a predetermined length of the weft yarn prior to a weft picking through the weft inserting nozzle, thereby maintaining generally constant the drawing-off resistance of the weft yarn from the drum every weft picking.
