  • Patent number: 7980746
Abstract: A hollow type planar illuminating device having uniform luminance distribution over the entire light emitting is described. A reflecting surface member is arranged on the bottom side of a hollow unit case, a light emitting surface member is arranged on the side facing the reflecting surface member of the unit case, and a space sandwiched between the reflecting surface member and the light emitting surface member of the unit case forms a hollow light guide space. An LED light source unit emits light into the hollow light guide space with a light collecting lens arranged between the LED light source unit and an end surface of the hollow light guide space. The light collecting lens reduces the directivity angle of light emitted from the LED light source unit in the device thickness direction.

  • Publication number: 20100208490
Abstract: Provided is a hollow type planar illuminating device having uniform luminance distribution over the entire light emitting surface. A reflecting surface member (2) is arranged on the bottom side of a hollow unit case (1), a light emitting surface member (3) is arranged on the side facing the reflecting surface member of the unit case, and a space sandwiched between the reflecting surface member and the light emitting surface member of the unit case is permitted to be a hollow light guide space (10). An LED light source unit (5) wherein many LEDs are mounted in a row on a wiring board is arranged adjacent to the both sides or one side of the hollow light guide space so that light is emitted to the hollow light guide space. Between the LED light source unit and an end surface of the hollow light guide space, a light collecting lens (9) is arranged. • Publication number: 20100162974
Abstract: A water pump attachment structure of a water-cooled internal combustion engine is provided to facilitate the maintenance of a valve train. A water pump attachment structure of a water-cooled internal combustion engine includes a semicircular cut-away surface of a water pump holder opposed to a semicircular surface of a cylinder head to form a water pump support circular hole. Screw members are passed through respective screw through-holes of the cylinder head and threadedly engaged with internal thread holes of the water pump holder. Thus, the water pump holder is fastened to the cylinder head. A water pump is fitted into and secured to the water pump support circular hole. A cylinder head cover is attached to the cylinder head by allowing their mating surfaces to conform with each other with the water pump holder liquid-tightly sandwiched therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20100059767
Abstract: A surface light-emitting device is disclosed, in which a plurality of spot light sources are arranged along the side surface of a housing of the device, and the light emitted from the spot light sources located at the end portions of the spot light source sequence emits a lower light flux than the average light flux of the light emitted from the other spot light sources. The spot light source sequence is, for example, an LED array including an alignment of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The LED array includes two groups of LED elements arranged in a predetermined repetitive pattern from one and the other ends, respectively, of the LED array, and at least an LED emitting low light flux is arranged at a predetermined position in the vicinity of the center of the array. As a result, the requirement for a reduced thickness and a narrower frame can be met, while at the same time producing the white light of uniform chromaticity over the whole light-emitting surface.

  • Patent number: 7234581
Abstract: A centrifugal clutch includes vibration isolation ring. The vibration isolation ring reduces or prevents the occurrence of squeaking noises due to the vibration of the clutch outer cover. The vibration isolation ring can be made with a large wall thickness, thereby reducing or preventing deformation of an open-end of a drum wall in the clutch outer cover. The vibration isolation ring has a cylindrical shape and is disposed so as to surround the drum wall at a position substantially corresponding to the location at which a portion of a friction material makes a sliding contact with a drum wall. An end portion of the vibration isolation ring is welded to an outer periphery of the drum wall on a side thereof which is distant from a bottom wall of the clutch outer cover.

  • Patent number: 6808465
Abstract: In a V-belt type transmission having a V-belt entrained on a pulley, the pulley includes a fixed pulley half fixed to an end portion of a crankshaft and a movable pulley half supported on the crankshaft but axially slidable in opposition to the fixed pulley half. The fixed pulley half is secured with a bolt that is threaded and engaged with a female screw formed inside an end portion of the crankshaft. The V-belt type transmission is capable of securely clamping a fixed pulley half and is capable of preventing the entry of dust and water into a fixed pulley half threaded portion formed in an end portion of the crankshaft. This arrangement protects against the formation of rust and corrosion.

  • Patent number: 6554104
Abstract: A lubrication structure for an internal combustion engine including an oil pump provided at a first end of an oil pump shaft arranged parallel to a crankshaft. Oil passageways are formed from a side surface of a pump chamber of the oil pump to another end of the oil pump shaft in parallel with the oil pump shaft. An oil filter is provided facing towards the oil passageways. A communicating passageway extending vertically from the oil passageways to the oil filter is also provided. This arrangement provides a lubrication structure for an internal combustion engine with a high degree of freedom with respect to oil filter arrangement with a simple oil passageway that is easy to manufacture, requires relatively small space for arrangement, and thus makes it possible to reduce the size of the internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 6397810
Abstract: To provide a balancer-fitting configuration for an internal combustion engine. With the balancer-fitting configuration of the present invention, the vibration control of an internal combustion engine with forward-inclined cylinders is achieved effectively by using paired balancers separated and disposed opposite to each other. Furthermore, the part of the crankcase behind the crankshaft is decreased in size in the longitudinal direction of the frame, and thereby, a space within which the rear wheel swings is obtained without enlarging the frame.
