  • Patent number: 5883611
Abstract: In an image controller, a VDP, a CPU, and a printer section, which are needed to prepare and print an image signal, are provided in the same housing. The CPU supplies an image parameter corresponding to a printing state of the printer to the VDP, so that a user can recognize a shortage of printing paper of the printer and a setting defectiveness of the printing paper, RGB data for one horizontal line is written to an RGB line memory of an RGB buffer section of the VDP, and a print processing is executed based on the RGB data transferred to the work RAM.

  • Patent number: 5726371
Abstract: In a musical tone waveform generation apparatus for outputting musical tone signals generated by a software program at predetermined time intervals, sound source methods can be selected in units of tone generation channels. In the musical tone waveform generation apparatus, the sound source method or the tone color of a musical tone signal to be output is determined in accordance with performance data (pitch data, touch data, music part data, and the like). A musical tone signal is generated by CPU upon execution of a sound source processing program, associated with a modulation method stored in a memory. The generated musical tone signal is output at predetermined time intervals. As for sound source processing based on the modulation method, at least one operator processing, and algorithm processing for determining an input/output relationship among the operator processing operations are independently executed.

  • Patent number: 5691493
Abstract: A main CPU and a sub CPU take share of executing a tone generating process to generate multiple tone signals on a real-time basis without using an exclusive tone generator. The main CPU and sub CPU are formed on a one-chip LSI, thus facilitating realization of a compact electronic musical instrument. According to another structure, the main CPU executes tone generation while the sub CPU performs an effect process, thereby permitting a one-chip LSI to generate an effect-added musical tone.

  • Patent number: 5054358
Abstract: Memory means is provided such that it is capable of reading and writing tone source control data for an available number of channels. Each channel time is divided into two divisions for instance. In the first half of each channel time, tone source control data for the channel corresponding to the current channel time is read out from the memory means, and in the second half of channel time tone source control data of a given designated channel for setting data is written in the memory means. In this way, tone source control data can be set speedily even if the polyphonic channels are increased in number. Further, with an increased number of polyphonic channels it is possible to synchronize the phase of each tone in a tone mixing mode even when a frequency change is caused by a pitch bender or a vibrato.
