  • Patent number: 9694782
Abstract: The present application discloses a control device for an automatic transmission mounted in a vehicle including idling stop means for automatically stopping an engine when a predetermined stop condition is satisfied, and restarting the engine when a predetermined restart condition is satisfied in an engine automatically stopped state. The control device for the automatic transmission includes a first friction element and a second friction element fastened in a starting stage of the automatic transmission; and hydraulic-pressure controlling means for controlling hydraulic pressure for fastening the first and second friction elements. The first friction element includes a return spring that urges a piston of the first friction element to a release side. The second friction element includes a friction plate, a pressing piston that presses the friction plate, and a clearance adjustment piston that supports the pressing piston so as to allow relative movement of the pressing piston.

  • Publication number: 20160200281
Abstract: An airbag apparatus includes a first airbag (10) that deploys rearward from a position in front of an occupant (D) upon an oblique collision and a second airbag (20) that deploys so as to cover a cabin side wall upon an oblique collision. The second airbag (20) includes a wraparound portion (23) which deploys so as to protrude towards the inside of the cabin at a position further on the front side from an outer edge portion (10a) that is a portion, opposing the cabin side wall, of a peripheral edge of the deployed first airbag (10) to restrict the outer edge portion (10a) from being displaced forward.

  • Patent number: 8820787
Abstract: A knee bolster comprises a curved arm projecting rearward from its one end portion and extending downward in a side view, the other end portion of which is configured as a free end, an inside arm provided inside the curved arm and interconnecting an upper portion and a lower portion of the curved arm, and an impact absorbing member arranged at the other end portion of the curved arm so as to be deformable when the curved arm is deformed by receiving an impact load so that the impact absorbing member is caught between the curved arm deformed and a vehicle-body-side member attached to a vehicle-body member. Accordingly, a load from a knee of a passenger moving forward in a vehicle collision can be received surely and the collision impact can be absorbed properly, thereby protecting the passenger's knee effectively, avoiding improper interference with any surrounding components.
