Abstract: According to an embodiment, a coin teller machine includes a guide member, a detection device and a processor. The guide member transfers to one of a first state of guiding the coins discharged by the storage device to the coin acceptor, and a second state of guiding the coins discharged by the storage device to the recovery container. The detection device detects the state of the guide member. The processor outputs a guidance destination of the coin provided by the guide member determined based on the detection result of the detection device to a predetermined output destination.
