  • Patent number: 11433404
Abstract: A centrifugal field-flow fractionation device includes an annular rotor, an arc-shaped channel member, a rotation drive unit, and a restriction unit. A channel member 16 is provided along an inner peripheral surface of the rotor, has therein a channel 161 for a liquid sample by laminating a plurality of layers, and has an inlet for the liquid sample to the channel 161 and an outlet for the liquid sample from the channel 161. By rotating the rotor, particles in the liquid sample in the channel 161 are classified by centrifugal force. A restriction spacer 64 restricts the channel 161 from being compressed to a height less than a certain height when the channel member 16 is compressed and deformed in a laminating direction.

  • Publication number: 20090173891
Abstract: A fluorescence detection system in which at least one of a plurality of light-receiving elements arranged on the light-receiving surface of a photodetector serves as a excitation-light detection section for receiving a light component having a wavelength of the excitation light, and at least one of the remaining light-receiving elements serves as a fluorescence detection section for receiving a light component having a wavelength of the fluorescence. A fluorescence-intensity correction section is operable to perform a calculation of dividing a detection signal from the fluorescence detection section by a detection signal from the excitation-light detection section, and output the calculated value as a measurement value.

  • Publication number: 20050063186
Abstract: A cooling fan for air-cooling a lamp housing is installed near to the lamp housing in which the lamp is accommodated. This cooling fan is adapted to suck out heated air surrounding the lamp housing directly to the outside of an apparatus. A time taken by the temperature of the lamp housing, which rises due to heat generated by the lamp, to reach a stable temperature is preliminarily set in a fan control portion. The fan control portion controls the cooling fan in such a way as to stop until this time elapses. Alternatively, the fan control portion initially operates the cooling fan at a rotating speed that is lower than a normal operation rotating speed, and thereafter causes the fan to start rotating at the normal operation rotating speed.

  • Patent number: 6374662
Abstract: An odor measuring device has a collector tube containing an adsorbent which adsorbs sample components with odor at normal temperatures and desorbs them when heated. Flow routes for a sample gas containing sample components to be detected and an inactive gas are connected through valves to this collector tube. Initially, a sample gas containing sample components with odor is introduced into the collector tube at normal temperature such that the sample components to be detected are adsorbed to the adsorbent. Thereafter, the valves are switched such that the inactive gas is introduced into the collector tube while its temperature is increased by a heater, causing the sample components to be desorbed into the inactive gas and to be transported into an odor sensor. If odor sensors requiring oxygen for detection are used, an oxygen-containing gas such as air is mixed into the inactive gas after the latter has passed through the collector tube such that deterioration of the adsorbent by oxidation can be prevented.
