  • Patent number: 10931056
Abstract: A connector has parts that can be used in common as much as possible in different specifications to reduce cost and to facilitate parts management. In a first specification having a high shielding function, a terminal fitting (20) connected to a shielded electric wire (15) is accommodated in a dielectric (23). The dielectric (23) is surrounded by an outer conductor (40) that is connected to a braided wire (18). The second specification requires no shielding function, and thus the outer conductor (40) is not used. Rather, a sub-housing (70) having the same shape and size as the outer conductor (40) of the first specification is used. The sub-housing (70) is configured to accommodate and retain the terminal fitting (20) and is locked in a same retained state as in the first specification when accommodated in a common housing (10) used in both specifications.

  • Patent number: 10819071
Abstract: A connector is capable of replacing an STP cable (10B) and a UTP cable (10A) without a large structural change. UTP connection terminals (21A) are accommodated in accommodating portions (26) of a UTP dielectric (22A) that are close to each other in a width direction. Thus, elastic contact pieces (32) thereof are located inside and close to each other in the width direction, while receiving portions (31) are located outside and spaced from each other in the width direction. STP connection terminals (21B) are accommodated in accommodating portions (26) of an STP dielectric (22B) that are spaced more apart in the width direction than those of the UTP dielectric (22A). Thus, elastic contact pieces (32) thereof are located outside and are spaced from each other in the width direction, while receiving portions (31) thereof are located inside so as to be close to each other in the width direction.

  • Patent number: 10734748
Abstract: A male internal conductor and a female internal conductor are reliably connected. When female-side and male-side dielectric bodies (16, 41) approach each other in an opposing positional relationship, a tab (32) of a male internal conductor (30) is inserted into a female-side dielectric body (41) and connected to a female internal conductor (42). The female-side dielectric body (41) has an opposing surface (41S) facing the male-side dielectric body (16) and formed with a female-side positioning portion (47). The male-side dielectric body (16) has an opposing surface (22S) facing the female-side dielectric body (41) and formed with a male-side positioning portion (25) which is disposed ahead of the tab (32) and which can be fitted with the female-side positioning portion (47) in a state where the tab (32) is not in contact with the female-side dielectric body (41).

  • Patent number: 10622747
Abstract: A connector includes a housing (10) having a terminal accommodation chamber (11) formed therein, and a first terminal fitting (12) can be inserted into the terminal accommodation chamber (11). A retainer (20) can be assembled to the housing (10) at a temporary locking position and at a final locking position, and a terminal holding member (30) can be assembled to the housing (10). A second terminal fitting (40) is attached to the terminal holding member (30). Interference parts (24, 26) are formed in the retainer (20) and the terminal holding member (30), respectively. The interference parts do not interfere with each other when the retainer (20) is in the final locking position. However, the interference parts interfere with each other to prevent the terminal holding member (30) from being assembled to the housing (10) when the retainer (20) is in the temporary locking position.
