  • Patent number: 11937012
Abstract: To reduce increased consumption of the recording capacity of a recording medium to record generated image data, an imaging device includes an imaging element and an image processor that receive subject light through an opening in a housing and generate image data, a recording controller that records the image data generated by the imaging processor onto a memory card, a lens cover movable to a position at which the lens cover covers the opening to restrict the subject light from entering the imaging element, and a determiner that detects a position of the lens cover based on the image data generated by the imaging processor and determines whether the lens cover covers the opening. The recording controller stops recording the image data onto the memory card when the determiner determines that the lens cover covers the opening.

  • Patent number: 6704507
Abstract: An optical range finder is provided with a projection unit for projecting luminous flux to an object located in an optical axis direction, a detection unit for receiving the luminous flux returned from the object, a holding frame housing the projection unit and the detection unit, and a support substrate on which the holding frame is supported. The holding frame has a partition wall for separating the detection unit and the projection unit from each other. An end of the partition wall is provided with a tip protruding from a bottom of the holding frame. In the support substrate, a groove is formed in a surface side which comes in contact with the bottom of the holding frame to be engaged with the tip of the partition wall. Light leaked from the projection unit through a thickness of the support substrate to the detection unit is shut off by a combination of the tip and the groove.

  • Patent number: 3931664
Abstract: The present invention is an improvement in a door hinge construction for use on automotive vehicles for preventing the door from closing when the vehicle is parked on a sloping surface or from wind forces which act to close the door. A torsion bar is mounted in the stationary portion of the hinge and has a straight end portion which biases against a pair of rollers mounted on the movable portion of the hinge attached to the door to apply a torque to the movable hinge portion to maintain the door in the open position, with this torque increasing with wider opening of the door. The use of the rollers present a sliding contact with the torsion bar, thus eliminating unpleasant clicking noises during door opening and closing operations.
