  • Publication number: 20240042963
Abstract: A method for activating a vehicle function, by an activation device including a transceiver to communicate with “hands-free” access equipment. The transceiver is equipped with a gyroscope and a magnetometer and two receiving antennas that have a coefficient of electromagnetic coupling between them that is below a threshold. The method includes the following steps for at least two consecutive footsteps: transmission of a signal comprising data of the gyroscope and the magnetometer of the “hands-free” equipment to the vehicle; comparison of the data with representative values of the gyroscope and the magnetometer of the transceiver; determination of a first direction of the user; determination of a second direction of the user based on an estimation of a first angle of arrival of the signal towards the transceiver; comparison of the first direction and the second direction; activation of the vehicle function on the basis of the result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 11747428
Abstract: A corner sensor for a motor vehicle capable of communicating over a wireless communication link with an authentication device and including: an array of antennae; and an electronic control unit configured to: determine the phase difference between the segments received by the antennae; determine the probability of each angle of incidence over a range of angles that is predetermined on the basis of the determined phase differences and of a predefined table, so as to determine a probability profile; measure the power of the segments received by the antennae of the array of antennae so as to determine a power profile; determine the actual angle of incidence of the signal by multiplying the probability profile with the power profile; and send the value of the determined actual angle of incidence to a central electronic control unit of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230092743
Abstract: A method and a system for ultra high frequency communication with and location of a portable device for “hands-free” access to a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle having an on-board communication device comprising an ultra high frequency transceiver, an electrical power supply source and at least one antenna, the motor vehicle including a first arrangement, in which the transceiver is connected to the antenna, and a second arrangement, in which the transceiver is disconnected from the antenna. The transceiver is connected to an attenuation module located at a predetermined distance from the transceiver. The attenuation module includes an impedance of predetermined value connected to ground. The predetermined distance between the transceiver and the attenuation module, as well as the predetermined value of the impedance, defining a locating area of the portable device in and around the motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220365490
Abstract: A method for adjusting a clock on board a motor vehicle, the clock providing an actual time for functions of the vehicle, the vehicle connected via wireless communication to a data server, the method including: the server transmitting a sequence of consecutive actual-time values, separated from one another by a fixed time interval; the vehicle receiving the actual-time values shifted by an unknown and variable time of flight between transmission and reception; for each received actual-time value: calculating a difference between an actual-time value received at a given instant and an actual-time value received at a previous instant; calculating a discrepancy between the calculated difference and the fixed time interval; calculating a cumulative disparity, consisting in summing the discrepancy calculated for a time value received at one instant and a time value received at the previous instant; determining the actual time for adjusting the on-board clock according to the disparity.
