  • Patent number: 9020772
Abstract: A detection wire cutter including a conducting wire mechanically secured to a structure that is to be monitored. This wire is electrically powered at one end and at another end feeds back an electrical voltage corresponding to the power supplied, provided that the structure that is to be monitored has not undergone unacceptable mechanical damage. As an improvement, two arrays of wires extending over flat supports in two directions in space are proposed. Each array is powered by a distinct network electrical supply. The two networks extend in layers, with parallel wire portions. The position of a crack does not impede the passage of current between certain terminals, but certain other terminals will no longer receive any current because the crack has broken a network supply general connection between the connection of one wire and that of another.

  • Patent number: 8924171
Abstract: A device for monitoring the structure of a vehicle, including an electric measurement sensor, a processing circuit connected to the sensor for converting the sensor measurements into monitoring data, and a transmitter for transmitting the monitoring data to a collecting member, wherein the processing circuit is miniaturized and has a small size so as to be contained within a cube measuring 40×40×40 mm or less, is connected to the sensor by a short wired electrical connection, the length of which measures less than 200 mm, includes an onboard battery, and includes a radio means for transmitting the monitoring data to a mobile collecting member temporarily located in the vicinity thereof.

  • Patent number: 8896329
Abstract: A device, a system and a method for detecting an irregularity in a structure of an aircraft are proposed. The device includes a resonant circuit with a resonance frequency and a probe for tuning the resonance frequency of the resonant circuit. The resonant circuit and the probe are operatively connected in such a way that the probe changes the resonance frequency of the resonant circuit if the structure changes due to a formation of an irregularity.

  • Patent number: 7684282
Abstract: A standard non-destructive testing probe (4) may be coupled with a localization system (10) according to the invention so as to determine the position of the apparatus (4) on the surface to be analyzed (1) at any moment. The localization system (10) comprises an ultrasonic emitter (12) and two ultrasonic receivers (14, 16) coupled with means for determining the distance between the emitter (12) and the receivers (14, 16), each of the components being able to be moved freely relative to each other. The coupling between the emitter (12) and the probe (4) allows the position of the latter to be determined by triangulation. A localization and mapping method is also described.
