  • Publication number: 20200307831
Abstract: An engine thrust rating process and system for controlling engine thrust during flight of an aircraft and/or to support an airplane development program (including design, validation testing, and production of airplane systems, airplane dispatch and operation tools). The thrust rating process uses thrust ratios derived from thrust expressed in power rather than engine rotor speed (N1). In one or more examples, the thrust rating architecture is based on “Max Rated Thrust” tables and the power setting parameter “PSP” being calculated at the end of the process instead of at the beginning of the process (unlike conventional procedures), thereby enabling the system software development early as needed to support the airplane development phase. This concept also yields improvements such as simplified control logic, optimized engine performance and engine life.

  • Publication number: 20200286232
Abstract: A probability map of prostate tumor location is generated and displayed in response to receiving anatomic diagnostic medical imaging, such as from magnetic resonance (MR) scanning. A registration process is performed on the images in relation to a model built of prostate anatomy across different subjects in an enhanced prostate template. A probability map is created of tumor locations followed by transforming the imaging to incorporate the probability map and output a resultant image.

  • Patent number: 10704007
Abstract: A composition comprises the reaction product of a dithiophosphate derivative and an amine. The reaction product is present in the composition in an amount of at least about 25 wt. %. The composition may include additional components. A method of forming the composition comprises the step of combining the dithiophosphate derivative and the amine to form the composition. A method of increasing thermal stability of a dithiophosphate derivative comprises the step of combining the dithiophosphate derivative and an amine. The dithiophosphate derivative can decompose to form hydrogen sulfide (H2S). However, the amine substantially prevents thermal decomposition of the dithiophosphate derivative. An example of the dithiophosphate derivative is 3-(di-isobutoxy-thiophosphorylsulfanyl)-2-methyl-propanoic acid. An example of the amine is ditridecyl amine. The composition can be used for a variety of applications.

  • Publication number: 20200203993
Abstract: Induction powered electrical current monitoring, and related devices, apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed. An electricity current monitoring device can include an inductive energy transfer medium, an energy storage device, a power management circuit, and a processing circuit. The inductive energy transfer medium can induce an electromotive force to produce electrical energy that can be stored in the energy storage device. A power management circuit can control storage of the electrical energy in the energy storage device and can control release of the electrical energy from the energy storage device. The processing circuit can measure the electrical current in the monitored energy source based on the fluctuating magnetic field generated by the inductive energy transfer medium. The processing circuit is electrically coupled to the power management circuit to be powered using the electrical energy released from the energy storage device.
