  • Publication number: 20230023459
Abstract: A hearing protection device is presented. The device has a first earmuff connected to a second earmuff by a connector. Each of the first and second earmuffs are configured to receive an ambient sound and provide a dampened ambient sound to a wearer. The device also has a cable, with a cable length, that extends from the first earmuff to the second earmuff. The cable is coupled to the connector by a connection assembly. The connection assembly comprises a plurality of connection mechanisms arranged in a connection plan. Such a hearing protection device gives more freedom of placing the cable in a compact arrangement.

  • Patent number: 8663370
Abstract: An engine crankcase breather for oil segregation, from blow-by gases, in an engine. The engine crankcase breather includes a housing with an inlet located in a downstream direction of the blow-by gases and an outlet. The breather also includes a baffle within the housing which poses a tortuous path for the blow-by gases, in order to segregate oil particles from the blow-by gases. The baffle includes a hook-shaped portion, in which the oil segregation takes place. The engine crankcase breather further includes a trough extending within the housing. The trough is aligned with the hook-shaped portion of the baffle, to collect the segregated oil from the blow-by gases.

  • Patent number: 7873495
Abstract: A quality assurance system includes an internet/wide area network interface configured to provide bidirectional communication with user terminals; a wireless interface configured to provide bidirectional communication with mobile user terminals; and a quality assurance database cooperatively coupled with a database manager. The data base manager is configured to populate the quality assurance database with identifications of individual ones of a plurality of construction project welders, weld inspectors and a plurality of weld data logs individual ones of which are associated with a specific welding operation of a construction project. Each weld data log is configured to store information that is at least descriptive of a welder, material used during the specific welding operation, specifics of a completed weld including at least weld location, weld type and weld dimensions, and information descriptive of a weld examination.

  • Publication number: 20090038572
Abstract: Cam actuated systems, such as valve trains for an engine, typically bring cam lobe action to the engine valve via a linkage that includes a cam actuated roller assembly which may be either a rocker or a lifter. These cam actuated rocker assemblies include a housing with a pair of arms with roller support bores there through. A roller support pin is received in the roller support bores, and rotationally supports a roller mounted about the roller pin and between the arms of the housing. The roller pin may include a relatively hard and inexpensive core, such as steel, cladded with a relatively soft more expensive metal, such as bronze.

  • Patent number: 6964258
Abstract: An engine revolution limiter system is utilized to limit engine speed during a break-in period. The system provides for programming a variable break-in period and a variable selectable engine revolution limit. During the break-in period, if the revolution limit is exceeded by the engine speed, firing of the ignition is limited. In addition, the system provides for an over revolution limit wherein the ignition stops firing if the over revolution limit is exceeded. In addition, multiple break-in periods may be programmed with different associated revolution limits and over revolution limits. This provides for gradually increasing the allowable engine speed as the engine has been operating for greater periods of time.

  • Publication number: 20050136875
Abstract: A transceiver system is described herein that has an antenna coupled to a filter unit which is coupled to multiple radio base stations (RBSs). Each RBS uses one TX/RX cable and if needed a RX cable to connect to the filter unit. To enable the RBSs so they can share one antenna, each RBS has a duplex filter incorporated therein. And, the filter unit has a unique combination of diplex filter(s), duplex filter(s), part-band duplex filter(s), diplex-duplex filter(s), splitter(s) and/or low noise amplifier(s). Four exemplary embodiments of the transceiver system are described herein to show how the filter unit can be configured so as to enable the RBSs to share one antenna even if the RBSs share the same frequency band and/or even if the RBSs operate with different radio standards (e.g., TDMA, CDMA, WCDMA and GSM). Also described herein in accordance with the present invention are: (1) a method for constructing the transceiver system; (2) a radio base station; and (3) an antenna.
