  • Publication number: 20200179684
Abstract: This invention provides an device for electrical stimulation of the spinal cord. The device has an electrode assembly with a sufficiently thin profile to be implanted between the pial surface of the spinal cord and the dura mater, and secured to the dura. Electrodes on the electrode assembly are directed towards the surface of the spinal cord, and connected through the dura to a signal generator located outside the dura. Following implantation, the subject is treated by transmitting electrical signals from the signal generator through the leads to the electrodes, stimulating the subject's spinal cord.

  • Publication number: 20190243519
Abstract: This disclosure describes a scrolling graphical user interface element that displays, in real time or substantially real time, search requests that are received by a system. For example, when a query is received, details about the query are stored and subsequently used to generate a selectable item that is provided on the scrolling graphical user interface element. The scrollable graphical user interface is provided on a webpage and is updated with selectable items each time a new query is received. Thus, any user accessing the webpage can view, in real time or substantially real time, other queries that are being submitted by other users.

The cover can be used to cover the outer and/or the inner surface of the stent. The expanded fluoropolymer membrane contains serpentine fibrils. In exemplary embodiments, the fluoropolymer is polytetrafluoroethylene. The composite material may be axially and/or circumferentially wrapped around the stent. The composite material is fold-free throughout its operating diameter range and exhibits a sharp increase in stiffness at a predetermined diameter. The stent graft can be designed to have a stop point in either a radial or axial direction. The stent graft can advantageously be implanted undersized with respect to a nominal diameter without having material infolding.

  • Publication number: 20190209852
Abstract: An anchor for an electrical lead or other elongate medical instrument can include an anchor body. The anchor body can define an instrument passageway. The instrument passageway can extend from a first end of the anchor body to a second end of the anchor body. The anchor body can define one or more suture holes in the anchor body. A clamp can be included in or coupled to the anchor body. The clamp can include a first clamping flange and a second clamping flange. The first clamping flange and the second clamping flange can project laterally from the clamp. The clamp can include a clamping cavity extending about the instrument passageway. The clamp can be arranged to close such that changing a distance between the first clamping flange and the second clamping flange causes a dimension of the clamping cavity to decrease and hold the instrument within the instrument passageway.

  • Publication number: 20190181637
Abstract: Methods and systems for feedback-based load control of a climate control system while in transport are provided. The method can include monitoring a current demand from each of a plurality of DC components of the climate control system. The method can also include determining whether the current demand for two or more of the plurality of DC components is in a discontinuous DC format. Also, the method can include, when two or more of the plurality of DC components is in the discontinuous DC format, determining a synchronization pattern for supplying power to the two or more of the plurality of DC components. Further, the method can include a DC power source of the climate control system directing power to the two or more of the plurality of DC components in the discontinuous DC format based on the synchronization pattern.

  • Patent number: 10280911
Abstract: A pumping system and a pumping method implemented with the pumping system. The pumping system comprises a solar panel performing a photovoltaic conversion based on an insolation level including a first insolation level and a second insolation level; a fuel reservoir containing a fuel in a liquid state; an electric motor; a pump rotatable by the electric motor to pump the fuel; and a first motor drive converting electrical energy supplied by the solar panel to drive the electric motor at a first speed when the insolation level is at the first insolation level and at a second speed, slower than the first speed, when the insolation level is at the second insolation level, thereby pumping the fuel at a first rate and a second rate, respectively.
