  • Publication number: 20120273497
Abstract: A removable membrane, or cover, for a disposable food container includes a membrane portion at least partially defined by a circular outer perimeter edge. The removable membrane further includes a truncated tab portion projecting radially outward of the outer perimeter edge of the membrane portion. The truncated tab portion is at least partially defined by a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge, with each of the first and second lateral edges converging as the tab portion extends away from the outer perimeter edge of the membrane portion. The tab portion is further defined by a forward edge that extends along a straight line between the first lateral edge and second lateral edge, wherein the forward edge is disposed at an oblique angle relative to the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge.

  • Publication number: 20120077029
Abstract: A device for closing a food container that includes a barrier substrate that sufficiently inhibits oxygen and moisture transfer therethrough and that has a portion of a first major surface coated with a functional layer that comprises a thermoplastic adhesive and a release agent. The release agent operational such that the lid is incompatible at least with conventional shrink wrap film (LDPE) during a conventional heat shrinking process.

  • Patent number: 5530835
Abstract: A memory controller intercepts data bytes destined for a memory and selectively combines them with data bytes previously read from the memory. The controller also blocks data bytes destined for the memory corresponding to data bytes previously written to the memory. The memory controller includes an input device and an output device. An output line of the input device is connected to both the memory and an input line of the output device. Also, the memory is connected to the input line of the output device.

  • Patent number: 5212799
Abstract: In a computer, when a block of data is written to memory, it is common to attach a control word to the data. The control word is placed at a pre-arranged location, generally separate from the data. The control word contains important information about the data, such as starting address, length, etc. The presence of the control word indicates that the data is valid.Sometimes, for various reasons, the control word is written before all the data is written. This premature availability of the control word gives false information: the data is not yet completely written, yet the presence of the control word indicates otherwise. The invention prevents such a problem by preventing premature writing of the control word.
