    Abstract: A layer that is airtight to inflation gases is formed of a composition that includes at least: a halogenated elastomer having a content of greater than or equal to 70 parts by weight per hundred parts by weight of elastomer (phr); a reinforcing filler; and a crosslinking system based on a metal oxide. The crosslinking system contains less than 0.5 phr of sulphur and may be free of sulphur. More particularly, the crosslinking system contains less than 0.1 phr of sulphur.
