Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for automatically improving the matched products recommended to a potential buyer by helping the buyer refine his answers to a product discovery questionnaire. One method comprises of processing the consumer's answers to an interactive product discovery questionnaire, identifying answer constraints, searching for reasonable alternative answers and offering them back to the consumer as a questionnaire refinement option. Another method comprises of allowing the buyer to visually navigate different tradeoff axes while viewing newly matched products in real-time during navigation. Accepting these optional refinements will yield superior, better matching products to the consumer, increasing his satisfaction with the product and service, and increasing the conversion rates and ultimately the revenues of the shopping service.

Abstract: It is provided a method of matching pairs of persons. The method includes receiving from the persons personal opinions on other persons, and based on a collaborative filtering algorithm, calculating from the personal opinions a first estimated opinion of a first person on a second person and a second estimated opinion of the second person on the first person. The method also includes matching the two persons in accordance with the estimated opinions and connecting them for a predetermined time duration. The first estimated opinions may be the estimated probability that the first person wants to be matched to the second person. The matching of the two persons is done in accordance with the product of the probabilities. Matching order is determined by a difference between a highest and a second highest product of a person in two different pairs.

Abstract: A method for man machine interaction with an electronic device associated with an electronic display comprises capturing images of at least one hand positioned over an input device, tracking position or posture of the hand from the images; switching from interaction based on interaction with an input device to pointing device emulation in response to detecting a gesture performed with the hand, and emulating a pointing device based on the tracking, with the hand no longer performing the gesture.

Abstract: It is provided a method of matching several pairs out of a plurality of persons.
