  • Patent number: 8284208
Abstract: Systems, processes and apparatus are described through which signals are modified within a system. A signal conditioning module is configured for insertion into the system and provides capability for expansion of information exchange capabilities between system elements responsive to modification of the system. The signal conditioning module includes a first link for supplying coordinated information to multiple display elements to synchronize information displayed by each of the multiple display elements, a second link for supplying coordinating data internal to a control system for a nondestructive imaging system to synchronize the internal data with the information displayed by each of the multiple elements and a third link for supplying coordination descriptions relevant to a nondestructive imaging task performed by the system to a memory, including an image and data relevant to that image.

  • Patent number: 7835877
Abstract: Systems, processes and apparatus are described through which signals are received from a controller, where the signals include a power ON signal. A time measurement element is started responsive to the power ON signal to assess a current duration of operation of the system. An existing cumulative record of system operation is recalled from a non-volatile memory in the system and the existing cumulative record is combined with the current duration to provide a representation of a running elapsed time, which is recorded in the non-volatile memory and is compared to a threshold to provide an indication when the running elapsed time has traversed the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20090179120
Abstract: An attachment device, which can be used in conjunction with an X-ray system, is provided including a clasp having a bracket configured to support an object in the clasp and a flap configured to retain the object in the clasp, the flap being further configured to automatically return the clasp to a closed position from both an inward-opening and an outward-opening position, and a mount attached to the clasp for affixing the clasp to a surface. A method of attaching an object to a surface is also provided including pushing the object into a clasp of an attachment device mounted to the surface, the clasp having a bracket configured to support the object in the clasp and a flap configured to retain the object in the clasp, the flap being further configured to automatically return the clasp to a closed position from an inward-opening position resulting.

  • Patent number: 6751678
Abstract: An I/O system includes a Digital Device selecting a digital output to be set and a Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism, electrically coupled to the Digital Device. The Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism includes an input bank, a FIFO, and an I/O line. The Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism clears a stored value in the first input bank, samples the first value of the first input bank, and detects a change in the input bank. The Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism also stores a state of a data bit of the input bank along with a bank identifier in the FIFO. The Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism still further samples the I/O line via a first READ cycle and drives the I/O line with a next data entry from the FIFO. Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism samples all digital inputs and stores any detected changes in the FIFO. The Digital I/O Expansion Mechanism transmits all values in the FIFO to the Digital Device during a subsequent READ cycle and transmits to the Digital Device a last value read.
