Abstract: An apparatus for analyzing ion kinetics in a dielectric probe structure includes an ion reservoir abutting the dielectric probe structure and configured to supply mobile ions to the dielectric probe structure, a capacitor structure configured to generate an electric field in the dielectric probe structure along a vertical direction, and an electrode structure configured to generate an electrophoretic force on mobile ions in the dielectric probe structure along a lateral direction. A method for analyzing ion kinetics in the dielectric probe structure of the apparatus is also provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to a non-tack gum base, a chewing gum preparation produced therefrom and also methods for production thereof. It is a homogeneous composition comprising polyvinyl acetate in an amount of 25-90% by weight, vinyl laurate-vinyl acetate copolymer in an amount of 5-70% by weight, and a softener in an amount of 1%-15% by weight, in each case based on the total weight of the composition.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fiber binding powder composition for consolidating fiber materials, comprising a) a polymer powder based on a polyvinyl alcohol stabilized polymer of one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of the vinyl esters of branched or unbranched carboxylic acids having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, the esters of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid with branched or unbranched alcohols having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, aromatic vinyl compounds, vinyl halides, olefins and dienes, and b) an inorganic compound which is solid at room temperature and which enters a chemical bond with the OH groups of the polyvinyl alcohol on introduction of said powder into water.
