Abstract: A method for transmission of a useful data object from an exchange component to a mobile station, whereby a communication network is elected, in which the useful data object is to be transmitted and the exchange component transmits the useful data object to the mobile station when it is determined that said the mobile station is hooked into the at least one communication network and it is determined that the exchange component has a delivery request for the useful data object. A mobile station, an exchange component and a telecommunication device, are further disclosed, where each is embodied such as to be able to carry out such a method.

Abstract: A method and apparatus according to the present invention enable a circuit card of a mobile communication unit to control Push-to-Talk features of a mobile terminal within that unit. The circuit card controls initiation and termination of a Push-to-Talk session for the mobile terminal, thereby enabling a communication network operator to define and develop applications on the circuit card that utilize the Push-to-Talk features.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for blocking undesirable messages (MMs), which includes the following steps: a message is sent from a sender (MMS UA A) to a transmitter (MMS R/S A); the message is sent from the transmitter (MMS R/S A) to a service provider (MMSE SP B); the message is transmitted from the service provider (MMSE SP B) to a recipient (MMS UA B), such recipient being serviced by the service provider. The message is transmitted from the service provider only if the sender does not figure on a list of exclusions. Preferably, the list of exclusions is managed by the service provider.

Abstract: A method is provided for connecting a wireless local network (WLAN) to a UMTS terminal station (ME) having USIM/USAT functionality, including the following method steps: monitoring the activity of the local network via the terminal station; transmitting the type and/or identity number of the local network to the terminal station once the activity of the local network has been successfully detected; initiating a logical link between the local network and the terminal station, and; querying the specific subscriber data of the local network. In an embodiment of the present invention, the temporary status of the local network and/or specific subscriber data of the local network are/is queried at periodic intervals.

Abstract: A method is provided for the instant transfer of packet switched data corresponding to at least one data content type between at least two terminals connected to each other by a packet switched network. An information element which is specific to the at least one data content type is transmitted to each element of the network involved in the communication link when a communication link is set up between the at least two terminals.
