The electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the asymmetric naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid diimide compound according to the present invention can maintain a constant surface potential after being repeatedly used for an extended time. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to the present invention can provide a high image quality for an extended time.

The upper photosensitive layer portion has a higher concentration of the electron transporting material than that of the lower photosensitive layer portion. A method of preparing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic imaging apparatus employing the electrophotographic photoreceptor are provided. The single-layered type electrophotographic photoreceptor according to the present invention shows high sensitivity and excellent repetition stability of electrical properties, while still having advantages of a conventional single-layered photoreceptor, thereby being able to have highly practical applications.
