Patent number: 11964670Abstract: Safety metrics and/or statistical system assurance of a particular package of autonomy driving software may be substantially measured using data collected from manually driving a vehicle in the real word, simulations of scenarios which may be faced by a vehicle in the real world, simulations executed with actual software and/or hardware on a vehicle, and/or end-to-end testing of a vehicle in a test environment. Safety metrics and performance of AV software and hardware may be further evaluated through vehicle-in-the-loop testing. During each test scenario, a corresponding set of simulated perception data may be injected to the systems of the autonomous vehicle to cause the autonomous vehicle to react and behave as if one or more simulated objects described by the set of simulated perception data were in the environment of the autonomous vehicle. Each test scenario may be triggered to be performed based on, for example, the autonomous vehicle's location within a real-world vehicle testing space.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2022Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Nuro, Inc.Inventors: Thomas Van Alsenoy, Sachin Patil, Brian Neil, Randol Aikin, Peter Melick, Yiming Huang

Publication number: 20230059229Abstract: A lever for an air vent assembly. The lever includes a first arm and a second arm, each extending from a base portion creating a guiding path therebetween. The first arm includes a first portion having a curved profile to facilitate abutment of the first portion with a movable disc of the assembly. The lever has a flexible third arm extending from the base portion and configured substantially parallel to the second arm. This shape and/or material of the third arm facilitates smooth and constant abutment of the first portion with the movable disc, and ensures a soft contact of the first lever against an inner surface of a housing of the assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2022Publication date: February 23, 2023Inventors: Julien BLEKER, Sachin PATIL

Patent number: 11358441Abstract: A vehicle air vent manual control assembly can be equipped at a passenger compartment of an automobile. Example installations include at an instrument panel, at a B-pillar, and at a rear center console. The vehicle air vent manual control assembly includes a knob through which a user can manipulate a first set of air directive vanes, a second set of air directive vanes, and a shutoff flap. Pivotal movement of a shaft via the knob prompts movement of the first set of air directive vanes. Translational movement of the shaft via the knob prompts movement of the second set of air directive vanes. And rotational movement of the shaft prompts movement of the shutoff flap.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2020Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: Faurecia Interior Systems, Inc.Inventors: Giovany Morales, Julien Bleker, Sachin Patil

Patent number: 11226871Abstract: Files are identified for file-level restore by bitmaps of cloud snapshots of a storage volume. The bitmaps comprise a data structure for each snapshot containing record numbers of files of the storage volume and a file status bit for each such file that indicates the presence or absence of the file in the corresponding snapshot. File numbers of files of interest are obtained from record numbers of records in a volume files index of the storage volume. The bitmaps can be searched to locate the snapshots containing particular files of interest without the necessity of mounting and searching the separate snapshots on a virtual machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2019Date of Patent: January 18, 2022Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company, LLCInventors: Ganesh Ghodake, Sachin Patil
