Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fire resistant, corrosion protective, water proofing, energy saving, water based heat insulating coating composition and a process for its preparation. The coating composition comprises a graft copolymer emulsion, a colorant, and at least one reinforcing additive and a filler. The graft copolymer is grafted to synergize the properties shown by the polymers of four different specialty monomers which results in a coating that exhibits excellent heat insulation and other mechanical properties. The coating is useful as a heat insulating coating.
