  • Patent number: 11485148
Abstract: A publisher configured to record data on a medium by a first media drive and a second media drive and including a publisher controller and a publisher storage, the publisher controller being configured to detect a type of a medium on which data is recordable by the first media drive and detect a type of a medium on which data is recordable by the second media drive, the type of the medium on which data is recordable by the first media drive and the second media drive being defined as a recording target type, the type of a medium on which data is recordable by only any one of the first media drive and the second media drive being defined as a non-recording target type, and the publisher being configured to store target type information representing the recording target type and the non-recording target type.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11321595
Abstract: A media processing apparatus includes a medium drive, a label printer, and a medium-processing-apparatus control section. When the medium-processing-apparatus control section receives a first photographic data file, the medium-processing-apparatus control section causes the medium drive to write the first photographic data file to a medium. After the medium-processing-apparatus control section has received the first photographic data file, the medium-processing-apparatus control section receives a second photographic data file and causes the medium drive to write the second photographic data file to the medium. When the medium-processing-apparatus control section receives a medium close command from a control apparatus, the medium-processing-apparatus control section terminates write processing by the medium drive in response to the received medium close command, and causes the label printer to perform printing.

  • Patent number: 11106407
Abstract: A media processing apparatus has N medium drives (N is an integer equal to or greater than 2), a label printer, and a medium-processing-apparatus control section. When K, which indicates the number of media on which to perform media creation (K is an integer not greater than 2N), is greater than N, the medium-processing-apparatus control section writes a first photographic data file and a second photographic data file to N media at the time when they are received. After writing has been terminated, the medium-processing-apparatus control section performs printing on the label surfaces of the N media. After writing to the N media is terminated, the medium-processing-apparatus control section writes the stored first photographic data file and second photographic data file to (K?N) media.

  • Patent number: 9921555
Abstract: Devices can be controlled by group even when multiple devices compatible with different interface standards are connected. An iProduct identifier enabling recognition by the host side as interfaces in the same group is set in the USB 2.0 hub and USB 3.0 hub in the same publisher. The host side determines if the hubs belong to the same group based on the iProduct identifier, and coordinates operation of the USB devices to connected to the USB 2.0 hub and USB 3.0 hub determined to be in the same group.
