  • Patent number: 11150013
Abstract: A refrigerator includes a storage compartment, a door, an air outlet, an imaging unit, and a determination unit. The storage compartment has a storage region that stores a stored object. The door opens and closes the storage compartment. The air outlet is provided in a rear wall of the storage region and blows cold air into the storage region. The imaging unit is provided at an inner side of the door at a position higher than or equal to a height of the air outlet and acquires an image of the storage region from the door. The determination unit determines an arrangement state of the stored object stored in the storage region based on the image acquired by the imaging unit.

  • Patent number: 6879710
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an information processing apparatus which is provided with a fingerprint verification function with a high security and a high operability. When a fingerprint is inputted from a fingerprint reading surface of a display/fingerprint reading unit, a fingerprint data sensing control unit reads fingerprint data and coordinate data, and stores the data into a storage unit. The fingerprint data is verified against fingerprint data previously registered and stored in a storage unit, to determine whether or not there is a matching fingerprint. In an information processing apparatus, a fingerprint verification function is thus implemented. Further, based on the coordinate data related to fingerprint input, the operation of the information processing apparatus is controlled.

  • Publication number: 20040210652
Abstract: To achieve communication, an AV data reception apparatus transmits an ID with which it permits itself to be identified to an AV data transmission apparatus. On receiving this ID, the AV data transmission apparatus identifies, based on the ID, the functions compatible with the AV data reception apparatus, and changes the functions of its own communication operation blocks according to those identified functions.

  • Patent number: 6553134
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a small-size image reading apparatus which has a high accuracy in image reading, by a different means from the prior arts. A panel includes a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged photoreceptor devices which are interposed between a pair of light-transmitting substrates. At an edge of one of the light-transmitting substrate, a slope is formed, and a light source is opposed to the slope. Light transmitted by reflection on the surfaces of the light-transmitting substrates is emitted on an object which comes in contact with the surface of the panel, and light returned from the object is received by the photoreceptor devices, whereby an image of the object is read. Thus, a direction in which light passes through the panel can be restricted, and the accuracy in image reading can be increased.

  • Publication number: 20010027556
Abstract: An information processing device with a TV function, which is capable of visually presenting information necessary for a viewer when viewing a TV picture on a main display screen. A power supply control IC discriminates which switch button is pressed for the information processing device or the TV. When the switch button for TV was pressed and start control is turned ON only for the TV, the power supply control IC supplies electric current to only the TV function block and sets a TV tuner and a NTSC decoder. It sets a display controller and an amplifier portion so that display data and sound data of the TV function block can be output. The power supply control IC manages and converts the current TV channel number and channel information into displayable codes and sends the codes to a display controller that in turn internally develops the received code on a bitmap and display the codes on a small display device.

  • Patent number: 6118485
Abstract: An IC card unit has a memory, various types of image processing sections, and an IC card interface and, when fitted to an external information processing device, it is contained therein. An image input unit, which has an image forming part and an image pick-up part and which is protruded outward of the information processing device, captures an image of a subject. The image processing sections execute image processing on image data written into the memory, and converts the data into image data optimum for display by an image display of the information processing device. The IC card interface transmits image data that has undergone the image processing to the information processing device side, enabling real-time monitoring. Access from the information processing device side is enabled so that image processing conditions and the like can be set.
