  • Patent number: 6766600
Abstract: A display unit for a construction machine is provided which allow for an operator to easily set a target plane or area in works to be performed under automatic control, and to freely change the contents to be displayed regardless of whether the machine is under the automatic control, so that information which the operator wants to see can be promptly displayed.

  • Patent number: 6564480
Abstract: In a working apparatus, a recessed portion is formed at an end surface of a pin provided at a boom to house a case of an angle sensor in the recessed portion. A flange is projected from the case along the direction of the axis of an input shaft so as to enclose the input shaft outside the movement range of a lever. By projecting the flange further out than the distance over which the input axis projects out, the protection provided by the flange for the input shaft is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6532409
Abstract: A setting/display processing section 11 of a control unit 9 comprises means 11b, 11c and 11d for computing the positional relationships among a machine body, an external reference and a target excavating surface by using a signal from a setting device 7 and signals supplied from angle sensors 8a, 8b when a front device is in a predetermined positional relationship relative to a laser reference surface, and means 11e, 11f, 11g, 11h and 11j for executing picture processing by using the computed positional relationships, and then producing and outputting picture signals to display the positional relationships among the body, the external reference and the target excavating surface. A display device 12 displays an illustration of the body and lines representing respectively the external reference and the target excavating surface on a display section 20 in accordance with the computed positional relationships.

  • Patent number: 6430490
Abstract: Whether a previously computed valve command value Y−1 is within a neutral zone ±&agr; is determine. If the determination result is “Yes”, processing to compute a valve command value for a neutral dead zone is executed. If the determination result is “No”, processing to compute a valve command value for a driving zone is executed. In the latter case, by using a valve command value X and the previously computed valve command value Y−1, it is determined in which one of acceleration, deceleration/stop, and lever-reversed condition is the operating status, and a maximum setting rate in one of acceleration, deceleration/stop, and lever-reversed condition is computed from a corresponding function &Dgr;Y=fmax1(X), etc. Then, a control signal is computed while restraining a change rate of the operational signal to be kept not more than the computed maximum change rate, and a flow control valve 3 is controlled in accordance with the computed control signal.

  • Patent number: 4914952
Abstract: The present invention provides an ultrasonic method for measuring the size of a possible flaw in a solid mass, in which an ultrasound is transmitted perpendicularly to the searching surface of a solid mass being the object under measurement through a liquid, a ratio in sound pressure between a reflected wave of the ultrasound from the surface of the solid mass and a reflected wave from any flaw in the solid, and a distance from the surface of the solid mass to the flaw, derived from the difference in time of reception between the reflected wave from the surface of the solid mass and the reflected wave from the flaw in the solid mass, are taken as indices of evaluation, and these indices of evaluation are compared with a reference value obtained beforehand by measuring a test piece made of a same material as that of the solid mass, thereby determining the size of the flaw.
