  • Publication number: 20190004699
Abstract: A terminal device is provided which is capable of making a key display with which a user makes an input easily. A hover position detection unit measures a distribution of a physical quantity indicating a degree of approach of an operation finger to a touch panel, and detects a hover position from the distribution of the physical quantity. A target key identification unit identifies, as a target key, a key corresponding to a display region including coordinates of the hover position. A user assistance display control unit generates a display control signal indicating that an assistance display that represents the target key is to be displayed at a different position from a display position of the target key. A display makes a screen display in accordance with the display control signal.

  • Patent number: 9467946
Abstract: A portable terminal includes a first detection unit that detects a change in a position of the portable terminal; a second detection unit that detects a change in a physical quantity representing a surrounding condition of the portable terminal; and a transition unit that causes the portable terminal to transition from a first state to a second state in which electricity consumption is smaller than that of the first state, when a relation between a direction of the change detected by the first detection unit and a trend in the change in the physical quantity detected by the second detection unit satisfies a predetermined condition.

  • Publication number: 20150277661
Abstract: To suppress the occurrence of operation error with respect to a user operation for indicating an object on a display surface. Display device displays an image on display surface, and can also detect a proximity operation in which finger F is brought close to display surface without making contact and a contact operation in which the finger makes contact with display surface. Display device displays on display surface email composing screen SC1 that includes selectable objects. When a proximity operation that indicates object b1 is detected, display device sets a selection of object b1 to valid and sets a selection of surrounding objects b2 to b5 (objects represented by diagonal hatching in FIG. 6B) to invalid. When detecting a contact operation that indicates object b1 for which selection is set to valid, display device specifies object b1 as a selected object by a user.

  • Publication number: 20150193112
Abstract: Display device is able to detect a proximity operation in which finger F is brought close to display surface without making contact and a contact operation in which the finger makes contact with display surface. Display device specifies a position of a finger of a user while in a stationary state above display screen as reference position BP1 or BP2 based on the proximate operation of the user. When display device specifies reference position BP1 or BP2 after screen SC1 including selectable objects is displayed on display surface, display device enlarges and displays objects located in specific region Ts according to the specified reference position (objects having reference sign “M” at the end). This allows for supporting the user in indicating by a contact operation of an object located at a position further away from the finger when the user operates display device with one hand.

  • Patent number: 8509820
Abstract: In a location identifying method, the sight of users of mobile communication terminals is estimated by calculating directions of the users based on position information of the mobile communication terminals, and the location where the lines of sight of the users are concentrated is identified based on the estimated sight. By identifying a location where the lines of sight of the users of the mobile communication terminals are concentrated, it is possible to identify an installation location where high advertising effectiveness can be achieved. Moreover, since only acquisition of the position information of the mobile communication terminals is needed, it is possible to efficiently identify an installation location of an advertisement, etc. Therefore, it is possible to efficiently identify an installation location of an advertisement or a billboard where high advertising effectiveness can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20130203377
Abstract: To estimate the number of mobile terminals that have been staying in an observation area for a desired period of time, the feature quantity calculation portion 17 calculates a feature quantity for observation target location data based on location acquisition time information contained in the observation target location data acquired by the observation target acquisition portion 15. The expected stay time calculation portion 18 calculates an expected stay time in an observation area to be observed and, based on the expected stay time, the passing/staying terminal selection portion 19 selects mobile terminals to serve as a target of terminal quantity estimation. Then, the terminal quantity estimation portion 20 estimates the number of mobile terminals calculated as the target of estimation. In this manner, the terminal quantity estimation device 10 estimates the number of mobile terminals that have been staying in the observation area for a desired period of time.
