  • Patent number: 11288419
Abstract: A processing apparatus analyzes behavior of a granular material including a plurality of particles having different sizes based on a simulation condition input from an input apparatus. The processing apparatus obtains behavior of a coarse grained granular material based on a value of a parameter defining a particle diameter distribution of a granular material to be simulated and a value of a coarse graining coefficient which is a reference for coarse graining of the particles, which are input from the input apparatus. Further, the processing apparatus associates the behavior of the particles obtained by the simulation with the input value of the coarse graining coefficient and outputs the result to the output apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20210216684
Abstract: A simulation apparatus includes: an input device to which simulation conditions are input; and a processing device that performs coarse graining for particles and analyzes a behavior of a solid-gas multiphase flow on the basis of the simulation conditions. The simulation conditions include a coarse graining ratio indicating a ratio of an enlargement ratio, which defines a size relationship between particles before and after the coarse graining, to a reference value, physical property values of the solid-gas multiphase flow, and physical quantities defining initial conditions and boundary conditions. The processing device calculates the reference value on the basis of the simulation conditions, sets a value of the enlargement ratio on the basis of the reference value and the input coarse graining ratio, performs the coarse graining for the particles on the basis of the set enlargement ratio, and analyzes the solid-gas multiphase flow for a plurality of coarse-grained particles.

  • Publication number: 20200401747
Abstract: Coarse graining is performed in which particles contained in a fluidized bed to be simulated are virtually enlarged to reduce the number of particles, the fluidized bed containing a fluid and a plurality of the particles floating in the fluid. Physical property values relating to the particles and the fluid, and physical quantities defined for the particles and the fluid are converted, under conditions that the dimensionless quantities relating to a flow of the fluidized bed and the dimensionless quantities relating to heat transport do not change before and after the coarse graining. A behavior of the fluidized bed is simulated by using the converted physical property values and physical quantities.

  • Patent number: 9466861
Abstract: A battery inspection apparatus includes a temperature control system configured to provide a temperature control of the batteries by supplying a temperature control fluid through a battery supporting portion to flow, between adjacent batteries, the fluid along the side surfaces thereof and by discharging the fluid through a contactor supporting portion. The contactor supporting portion is provided to face the battery supporting portion and supports a plurality of contactors. The temperature control system may include at least one cross-flow fan that is arranged along an array direction of the batteries, a vent of the fan directed to the plurality of batteries, in order to supply an air flow toward the plurality of batteries.
