    Abstract: A treatment system that includes a pair of jaws and a heater resistor provided on one jaw of the pair of jaws that generates heat by energization. The system also includes a heating device that controls a current to set a resistance value of the heater resistor to a target resistance value. The heating device includes a double bridge circuit allowing current to flow between the heating device and the heater resister when detecting, by the detection resister, a difference between the resistance value of the heater resistor and the predetermined target resistance value. The heating device including a power supply voltage generator that generates a power supply voltage to be applied to the heater resistor and the double bridge circuit, a controller that modulates the generated power supply voltage, and a heater resistance detector that detects an AC component from the current flowing through the detection resistor.

    Abstract: A method of and apparatus for continuously quenching a steel plate with cooling water, by passing the steel plate through a water storage vessel containing the cooling water. The cooling water for cooling the upper side of the steel plate is introduced into the upper section of the water storage vessel from an upper portion of the latter and is exhausted from an upper portion of the same through, for example, overflow. The cooling water for cooling the lower side of the steel plate is introduced into the lower section of the water storage vessel from a lower portion of the latter and exhausted from a lower portion of the same. The cooling water is agitated and moved by impellers disposed in the upper and lower sections of the storage vessel in the direction of movement of the steel plate or in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the steel plate which is clamped and fed linearly through the water storage vessel by means of upper and lower rolls.

    Abstract: A continuous hardening device of steel plate of a type wherein steel plate is continuously cooled and hardened by cooling water. The cooling water is continuously supplied into and exhausted out of a water vessel (10) provided in the path of the steel plate for cooling the same. A plurality of rollers (16, 18) supporting the steel plate on the upper and lower sides thereof to feed the same and a plurality of paddle wheels (32, 34) having axial shafts disposed in parallel with the rollers (16, 18) are provided in the water vessel (10). Each paddle wheel (32, 34) is disposed between adjacent rollers and close to the steel plate, and stirs and causes the cooling water to flow along the surface of the steel plate with a predetermined relative speed maintained between the cooling water and the steel plate. The cooling and hardening efficiency of the steel plate is substantially improved by the relative movement of the cooling water and the steel plate.
