  • Patent number: 4410139
Abstract: A liquid nebulizer comprising a nebulizing container for a liquid, an outlet duct, and a transducer at the bottom of the container. A partition surrounding the liquid projection produced by the transducer is included, having its upper edge above the liquid surface, so that large spray particles or drops from the outlet duct fall outside the partition.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 1978
Date of Patent: October 18, 1983
    Assignee: TDK Electronics Co., Ltd.
    Inventors: Kyoichi Nishikawa, Sadao Mitsui
  • Patent number: 4338576
Abstract: Noise potentials and radiation in an ultrasonic nebulizer are reduced by separating the oscillator and power supply and shielding the former, with one of the DC power lines to the oscillator passing through an aperture in the metal casing that shields the oscillator, while the other power supply line is connected to that casing. Oscillator control may be achieved by an unshielded variable resistor coupled by conductors of extended length to the oscillator by a filter circuit.

  • Patent number: 4318062
Abstract: Voltage or current or power supplied to the piezo-electric vibrator of an ultrasonic nebulizer is sensed and used as negative feedback to stabilize oscillation in the oscillator driving circuit.

  • Patent number: 4300131
Abstract: An alarm for indicating a lack of liquid in an ultrasonic nebulizer is disclosed. The alarm is responsive to a level sensing device in the nebulizer used to terminate oscillation in response to a low liquid level situation.

  • Patent number: 3989042
Abstract: In an oscillator-exciting system for a ultrasonic liquid nebulizer, a piezo-oscillator element for nebulizing the liquid is electrically connected to a self-exciting oscillating circuit as a constituent element thereof and the circuit is oscillated at that frequency at which the electric impedance of the piezo-oscillator element is inductive. A protective transistor may be connected to a current-bias resistance of the oscillating circuit, which protective transistor may be cut off by a reed switch sensing the exhaustion of the liquid being nebulized and/or by an overcurrent sensing circuit, for ceasing the oscillation in case of liquid exhaustion and/or overcurrent.
