  • Publication number: 20070195009
Abstract: An information processing device including a plurality of electronic display sheets, bound into notebook form, and a position information input portion having an input face is provided. The input face may be moved into opposing relationship with respect to the display face of any of the electronic display sheets of the plurality of electronic display sheets selected by the user. The position information input portion is operable to detect a position specified on said input face by the user, and to associate position information for the detected position with a display position on the electronic display sheet.

  • Publication number: 20050128191
Abstract: In a position detecting apparatus, electric power of a position pointer is turned on only when the position pointer is put within a particular range from a tablet to minimize consumption of a battery disposed in the position pointer. When the position pointer is brought close to the tablet, a control signal transmitted from the tablet is detected by a resonant circuit of the position pointer, and MOSFETs serving as a power switch are turned on by the detected signal. In response, electric power is supplied from a battery via the MOSFETs to circuit elements of the position pointer, and thus an operation of the position pointer starts.

  • Patent number: 6906694
Abstract: An input/output device is disclosed that includes a digitizer with an LCD mounted thereon and a protective layer mounted directly on the LCD to minimize the parallax errors that have heretofore occurred when a protective layer was mounted in a spaced relation from an LCD. The LCD is a fringe field switching (FFS) LCD which does not distort when pressure is applied to its upper surface through the directly connected protective layer.

  • Publication number: 20040150631
Abstract: A method of triggering functions in a computer application comprises the steps of: providing a digitizer having a pointing device, wherein the digitizer and pointing device are operably associated with a computer having an operating system and an application; applying pressure to the digitizer with the pointing device; sensing the applied pressure; triggering in the application a first function if the sensed applied pressure exceeds a first pressure threshold; and triggering in the application a second function if the sensed applied pressure exceeds a second pressure threshold. The second pressure threshold is greater than the first pressure threshold.

  • Patent number: 6296389
Abstract: A packing bag is easy to open and allows an end of an content to be easily exposed to the outside by separating heat-bonding portions of external an internal packing films from each other and tearing the external packing film. The packing bag includes two rectangular packing films each having a thermoplastic resinous layer formed on its inner surface.

  • Patent number: 5371835
Abstract: A neural coupling includes a pair of primary and secondary members for coupling a precedent node to a subsequent node to synaptically transmit a signal through a neural network. A primary member responds to a signal from a precedent node to generate an inductive field according to the received signal. A secondary member spatially coupled to the primary member by the inductive field supplies to a subsequent node a corresponding signal in response to the inductive field to effect synaptic transmission of the signal through the neural network.

  • Patent number: 4539148
Abstract: Useful intermediates, 7.alpha.-acylamino-3-(oxo or exomethylene)-1-dethia-1-oxacepham-4.alpha.-carboxylates, are produced by the intramolecular carbenoid insertion of a 2-diazo-3-(oxo or exomethylene)-4-(3.alpha.-acylamino-2-oxoazetidin-4.beta.-yl)oxybutyrate prepared in several steps from the corresponding oxazolinoazetidinone and diketone.

  • Patent number: 4259163
Abstract: A process is provided for applying an anticorrosive coating on an automobile body member. The process comprises subjecting the whole or lower portion of the body member to an electrodeposition in an aqueous bath containing (A) a cationic resinous binder and (B) a synthetic resin in the form of fine powder which is solid at room temperature but can melt at an elevated temperature, the weight ratio of (A)/(B) being 1/0.05-5. Subsequently the whole of the body member is subjected, without hardening the deposited film, to an electrodeposition in an aqueous bath containing an anionic or cationic resin. The thus treated article is washed with water and baked to effect the hardening thereof.

  • Patent number: 4057608
Abstract: Light-weight foamed concrete articles are advantageously manufactured in a continuous manner from a rapid setting hydraulic cement composition. The cement composition in the form of a dry powder and an aqueous foamed liquid containing a foaming agent and a setting retarder are separately and continuously introduced into a continuously stirred vessel where they are mixed into an aqueous foamed cement slurry within a short period of time. The foamed cement slurry is cast into the desired shape and, if desired, cured.
