Abstract: An absorbent article such as disposable diaper or sanitary napkin in which discharged liquid can be penetrated and diffused quickly. A rectangular shaped flat absorbent core interposed between a front surface sheet and a back surface sheet comprises at least one ditch traversing a point within a circle with a radius of 25 mm from its plane center to the periphery of the flat absorbent core so as to divide the flat absorbent core into not less than two parts.

Abstract: A brief-type diaper that is capable of preventing deformation caused by squeezing of the liquid absorber and capable of preventing leakage around leg openings. The pant-type diaper comprises of a first elastic member arranged adjacent to free ends provided at the periphery of leg openings of the diaper, in which a lengthwise liquid absorber is longitudinally joined inside of the crotch of the brief-type diaper so that transverse pulling power from a second elastic member or elastic belt-like pieces arranged at the exterior sheet is applied to both sides of the liquid absorber extended from the front portion to the back portion.

Abstract: In disposable diaper, an absorbent product is composed of fluffed pulp, synthetic fibers, a super absorbent material, and the like, and includes elastic means disposed adjacent to both sides of the absorbent core so as to longitudinally traverse the absorbent core extending from the back to the stomach through the crotch when the disposable diaper is applied to the human body. Thus, when urine, feces, body fluids, and the like are discharged, even if the weight of the absorbent core is increased by absorbing the substances, the leakage of the substances can be prevented because the shape retention property of the disposable diaper can be maintained by the tension of the elastic materials longitudinally traversing the absorbent core.

Abstract: A disposable diaper having an excellent fit to the wearer has an outer member (2) having front and back waist sections (4, 5) and crotch sections (6), and a liquid absorbent member (3), wherein the outer member includes an outermost sheet layer (21) and a pair of side liner sheet layers (22), and the liquid absorbent member includes a liquid non-permeable back sheet layer (13), a liquid permeable top sheet layer (14) and a liquid absorbent pad layer (15) interposed between the back and top sheet layers, each side liner sheet layer being formed from a composite sheet including an elastic sheet ply capable of expansion and contraction in the transversal direction of the diaper and at least one non-elastic sheet ply laminated on at least one surface of the elastic sheet ply and capable of elongation in the transversal direction of the diaper.
