Patent number: 4342016Abstract: In a transfer-type electromagnetic relay, movable contact studs are attached to both ends of a leaf spring (38) fixed onto an armature (39) for reducing the relay thickness. Leads (26, 27) for fixed contact studs are made of a soft magnetic material. Permanent magnets (46, 47) are placed transversely on the leads with poles of the same name brought nearer to the leads. When selectively magnetized by a coil (48) wound around a housing (21, 22), the armature is swung to carry out contact transfer with a high sensitivity. The relay is rendered self holding by the permanent magnet and the soft magnetic leads. Only one permanent magnet may be used for a current-holding relay. The leaf spring has transverse and longitudinal arms for insuring contact between the movable and fixed contact studs and connection of the movable contact studs to leads thereof.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1980Date of Patent: July 27, 1982Assignee: Nippon Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kiyotaka Yokoo, Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Kazutoshi Wakamatsu

Patent number: 4135136Abstract: An improvement in an electromagnetic switch matrix permits the simultaneous closing of a plurality of cross-points either in the same row or in the same column without causing the erroneous operation of nonselected cross-points. The switch matrix is of the divisionally excited type having a magnetic shunt plate with sealed switches disposed in through apertures therein at cross-point locations. First, second, third and fourth windings are wound around the sealed switches so as to generate control magnetic fields for controlling the operations of the respective sealed switches. An asymmetrical magnetization is given to the sealed switches with respect to the top and bottom planes so that there is a difference in the magnetization of the sealed switches on either side of the shunt plate when driven by the windings.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1977Date of Patent: January 16, 1979Assignee: Nippon Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuyoshi Nago, Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Tetsuo Yoshino

Patent number: 4075587Abstract: A multicontact sealed electromagnetic coordinate selection device comprises a movable contact type spring supported at both ends by supporters at a prescribed interval from a metal plate and electrically insulated from said metal plate, the movable contact type spring elastically supporting a plurality of movable contacts facing the corresponding stationary contacts formed on the upper ends of stationary contact terminals which penetrate said metal plate. The lower ends of said stationary contact terminals are supported by a magnetic metal member.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 1976Date of Patent: February 21, 1978Assignees: Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation, Nippon Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hideo Suzuki, Ginya Ishiguro, Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Kazutoshi Wakamatsu

Patent number: 4060782Abstract: A switching device is provided which is of a highly integrated structure and particularly adapted for a matrix arrangement of switch elements. The structure characteristically enables the switching device to be efficiently fabricated with maximum component density and minimum cost, and includes a base plate in the form of an integral combination of two insulating plates lying on each other, fixed contacts formed in an appropriate pattern on one of the insulating plates, and movable contacts formed integrally with spring strips supported on the base plate.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1976Date of Patent: November 29, 1977Assignee: Nippon Electric Company, LimitedInventors: Takashi Inagawa, Sadayuki Mitsuhashi

Patent number: 3996541Abstract: An electromagnetic switch assembly having a structure adapted for integral formation of component parts and for reduction in size and production cost, including an insulating base plate having at least one through hole formed therein to serve as a cell for relay contacts. An integrated type switching device can be realized with a matrix array of such through holes and electromagnetic relays associated therewith, the relay contacts being mounted on the base plate through the medium of two groups of conductive layers formed on the opposite surfaces of the base plate and extending along the lines and rows of contact cells, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1975Date of Patent: December 7, 1976Assignee: Nippon Electric Company, Ltd.Inventors: Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Kazutoshi Wakamatsu

Patent number: 3982216Abstract: A divisional excitation type coordinate switching device featuring a single magnetic shunt plate and preformed elongate excitation coils arranged on the top and bottom sides thereof and each surrounding a row or column of switching elements. Terminal blocks are secured to the four sides of the shunt plate, enabling arrangement of component parts in a fully developed formation. Outstanding among the advantages gained are substantial reduction in winding cost and overall size, ease of assembling and improved operational reliability.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 1975Date of Patent: September 21, 1976Assignee: Nippon Electric Company, Ltd.Inventors: Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Norio Suzuki, Kazuyoshi Nago

Patent number: 3962659Abstract: A leaf spring and contact arrangement for an electromagnetic switch. A movable contact has a magnetic body attached thereto and is restrained by side arms secured to a housing and bent arms connecting the contact member to the side arms. The side arms are arranged symmetrically about the center of gravity of the movable contact. The contact member, side arms and bent arms are all in substantially the same plane. A magnetic force overcoming the restraining force causes movement of the movable contact in a direction perpendicular to said plane. The leaf spring may be formed in a repeat pattern consisting of a plurality of movable contacts each having a pair of bent arms associated therewith for connecting the movable contact to the secured side arms.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1974Date of Patent: June 8, 1976Assignee: Nippon Electric Company LimitedInventors: Ken-ichiro Kawase, Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Kazutoshi Wakamatsu, Nobuo Mikami

Patent number: 3953813Abstract: An electromagnetic matrix switch device, suitable for use in an automatic exchange or computer, comprising a two-dimensional array of cross-point elements, each of which comprises a magnetically actuated switch adapted to bridge its associated pair of row and column signal lines and a magnetic core positioned in magnetically-coupled relationship to the switch to actuate it in response to a current pulse applied to its associated pair of row and column control lines. Each magnetic core has provided therearound first and second windings connected to its associated row control line and third and fourth windings connected to its associated column control line, the polarity of those windings being such that application of the current pulse to the row and column control lines will cause the first and fourth windings to produce magnetic fields in a direction opposite to those produced by the second and third windings.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1974Date of Patent: April 27, 1976Assignees: Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Public Corporation, Nippon Electric Company, LimitedInventors: Norio Yano, Seiei Okoshi, Sadayuki Mitsuhashi, Norio Suzuki
