  • Publication number: 20240142417
Abstract: An automatic online analyzer validation and calibration system receives operating parameter input signals from sensors, receives a measured value of a selected process variable from a physical analyzer, determines a difference between the measured value and an inferred value of the selected process variable determined by a controller based on the operating parameter input signals using an inferential analyzer; and if the difference between the measured value and the inferred value exceeds a threshold, initiates a recalibration of the physical analyzer or recalibration of the inferential analyzer. In one example, the automatic online analyzer validation and calibration is used in a gas dehydration system to validate and calibrate a physical moisture analyzer.

  • Patent number: 10047300
Abstract: A novel process for metal content reduction of hydrocarbon oil is disclosed, which is primarily aimed at reduction of vanadium and nickel. The process uses electricity to accelerate the demetallation process, but only the flow of electrons of the electric current is used to expedite the reaction, instead of the electrolysis effect of the electric current. The process is carried out by adding inter-phase surface active reagent and phase transfer catalyst at a relatively low temperature range of 80 to 200° C. and achieves metal content reduction for vanadium and nickel. Aqueous phase alcoholic derivatives of amine solution is treated with hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc. by additive reaction to render it more suitable for carrying more electric current and make them more active for metal reduction.

  • Patent number: 5372724
Abstract: A process for removing toxic sulfur-containing compounds, ammonia, oil and grease from an aqueous solution wherein the steps include sequentially adding to the solution sufficiently effective amounts of ferrous sulfate, ferric sulfate, and an insoluble hydrophilic amine polymer; heating the solution; removing the oil and grease as volatile organic compounds; and removing the contaminants from the solution as a precipitate complex. The resulting purified effluent may then be directly discharged into an industrial sewer.
