  • Publication number: 20220248285
Abstract: Techniques for optimal changeover in a multicell environment when conditional cell changeover is configured are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may receive a conditional changeover command (e.g., conditional handover (CHO), conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) change CPC)) from a serving cell. The conditional changeover command may include a neighbor cell configuration of a neighbor cell set comprising one or more cells that neighbor the serving cell. The neighbor cell configuration may indicate resource configurations of uplink (UL) and/or downlink (DL) resources the neighbor cell set. The UE may utilize the neighbor cell configuration to determine potential interferences due to the resources of the serving cell colliding with the resources of the neighbor cell set, and take mitigation steps to address the potential interferences.

  • Patent number: 11259263
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for implementing a dual registration mode and a dual receive mode using a single radio for wireless communications. A UE may determine that a wireless communication network supports the dual registration mode and dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS). The UE may establish a first connection with a first base station using a first radio access technology (RAT) of the wireless communication network. The UE may determine, based on one or more parameters associated with the DSS, that a second RAT of the wireless communication network has a second operating frequency band that overlaps a first operating frequency band of the first RAT. The UE may establish, via the second operating frequency band, a second connection with a second base station using the second RAT based on the dual registration mode and the DSS.

  • Patent number: 9999094
Abstract: Techniques for co-existence on a shared communication medium are disclosed. An activation command may be received, over a backhaul connection and via a first Radio Access Technology (RAT), configuring the first RAT for active operation on a shared communication medium. An activity indicator may be generated based on the active operation of the first RAT. Based on the activity indicator, one or more measurements scheduled to be performed on the communication medium in accordance with a second RAT and a corresponding wakeup schedule may be disabled. Access of a first RAT to a shared communication medium may also be monitored. A priority indicator for the first RAT may be generated based on the monitored access. Based on the priority indicator, release of a backhaul connection on the communication medium that is associated with a second RAT may be coordinated.

  • Patent number: 9949196
Abstract: A method, device, and system provide efficient way for handling LTE cells for suspending data suspending data in a carrier aggregation plus multiSIM scenario. The technique includes receiving communications corresponding to the first subscription at a user equipment over a primary cell and a secondary cell; calculating, prior to a tune away period, a first data throughput rate of the primary cell and a second data throughput rate of a secondary cell; sending at least one event measurement report if the second data throughput rate is higher than the first data throughput rate; receiving a handover command from a network node to interchange the primary cell and the secondary cell; and switching, in response to receiving the handover command, the primary cell and the secondary cell such that the primary cell becomes the secondary cell and the secondary cell becomes the primary cell for first subscription traffic.

  • Publication number: 20170347294
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for managing a tune-away from a first subscription to a second subscription in a multi-subscription multi-standby communication device during an ongoing voice communication session on the first subscription. A device processor may perform a tune-away from the first subscription to the second subscription. The device processor may determine whether a data transmission over the first subscription was missed during the tune-away. The device processor may calculate a data loss rate in response to determining that a data transmission of the first subscription was missed during the tune-away. The device processor may determine whether the data loss rate is greater than a data loss threshold, and the device processor may block a next tune-away in response to determining that the data loss rate is greater than the data loss threshold. In some embodiments, the first subscription may send a request to create a tune-away gap.
