  • Publication number: 20220249021
Abstract: An ergonomically designed smart wristband for clinical-grade multiparameter monitoring is disclosed. The smart wristband incorporates multiple sensors including custom-designed reflective arterial pulse sensors, a thermopile sensor, and electrocardiogram (ECG) electrodes. When the smart wristband is worn on the wrist, the biosensors contact the skin. The smart wristband may tether wirelessly to a mobile or any other computing device to continuously acquire and stream information like arterial pulse waveform and temperature data. Algorithms running on the computing device or onboard microprocessor analyze the acquired data to report parameters like blood pressure, body temperature, respiration, and blood oxygen. The device can also operate in a fully-standalone mode to accomplish continuous multiparameter physiological monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

  • Patent number: 10694966
Abstract: An ergonomically designed wireless wearable smart band pair for continuous ECG monitoring is disclosed. The pair comprises primary and secondary smart bands with integrated electrodes that are provided with switches for enabling desired electrodes during data acquisition. When the smart bands are worn around the two limbs, electrodes contact the skin. The primary smart band sets all possible states of the electrode switches and acquires biopotential data from the first wrist while the secondary smart band simultaneously acquires biopotential data from the second wrist and sends it wirelessly to the primary smart band. The primary smart band processes biopotential data via digital and analog signal conditioning and fuses information to acquire high-fidelity ECG data as per Einthoven's law without need for completing a circuit via leads and/or holding auxiliary electrodes.

  • Patent number: 10463302
Abstract: This invention describes a wearable device related to electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring technology. An ergonomically designed wireless smart band pair for continuous ECG monitoring and analysis is disclosed. The pair comprises a primary and a secondary smart band with integrated electrodes. When the smart bands are worn around the two wrists, the electrodes contact the skin. The primary smart band acquires biopotential data from the first wrist while the secondary smart band acquires biopotential data from the second wrist and sends it wirelessly to the primary smart band. The primary smart band processes biopotential data from both wrists to acquire high-fidelity ECG data as per Einthoven's law without the need for completing a circuit via leads and/or touching and holding auxiliary electrodes. The primary smart band analyzes the acquired ECG data in real-time and generates pertinent alarms. It also stores all ECG information locally and wirelessly transmits this information to external devices.

  • Publication number: 20120283583
Abstract: Apparatus, method, and software for electrocardiogram-assisted non-invasive arterial blood pressure d stiffness measurement is disclosed including brachial cuff with flexible electrodes, control box with rigid electrodes, and associated hardware/software. Cuff is wrapped around upper arm while electrodes on device are touched with fingers of other hand. Device acquires simultaneous ECG/oscillometric data during cuff deflation. Processing unit determines ECG R-peak positions to isolate arterial pulses and calculate pulse transit time. Change in pulse amplitude as function of cuff pressure is used for constructing oscillometric envelope and calculating blood pressure using empirical coefficients. Change in pulse transit time as function of cuff pressure is used independently for constructing pulse transit time envelopes and finding blood pressure with/without empirical coefficients. Fusion algorithm combines results for robust blood pressure and vessel stiffness evaluation.
