    Abstract: A portable communications device transportable to remote locations by an individual includes a control unit. A biometric sensor is electrically connected to the control unit. The biometric sensor senses a condition of the individual and creates and transmits a signal to the control unit. An environmental sensor is electrically connected to the control unit. The environmental sensor senses an environmental condition local to the individual and creates and transmits a signal to the control unit. A communications unit is electrically connected to the control unit. It receives the signals from the control unit and transmits them away from the remote locations.
