  • Patent number: 9272998
Abstract: The present invention evaluated the anti-epileptogenic effect of tryptamine derivative HHL-6 and its effects on the expression of BDNF and c-Fos. HHL-6 possesses potent anticonvulsant and anti-epileptic activity in PTZ-induced acute seizure and chemical kindling model of epilepsy. The results suggests that one of the possible mechanism of HHL-6 to inhibit epileptogenesis might be due to its controlling effect on the cellular and molecular expression of the factors that contribute in the development of epileptogenic plasticity in the CNS.
