  • Publication number: 20230353994
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to ways to ensure vehicle network connectivity. In some aspects, a process of the technology includes steps for receiving local network measurement data including one or more connectivity metrics for at least one network provider (e.g., an ISP), and updating a geo-connectivity database using the received local network measurement data. In some aspects, the process can include additional steps for transmitting a geo-connectivity request to a remote Intelligent Vehicle Connectivity Analytics (IVCA) gateway, and for receiving a geo-connectivity reply from the remote IVCA gateway, the geo-connectivity reply including information regarding network availability for the at least one network provider along a vehicle path. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20190158349
Abstract: A Multi-Homing System is equipped with an Adaptive JSP Access Cloud State Detection apparatus (ACSD) that improves the reliability of digital connections, such as a Computer Premises Network and the Internet, in which such connections are made by connecting through a multiplicity of ISP Access Clouds (links). Reliability is improved by using data elements of Internet Protocol datagrams that are exchanged between the ISP Access Clouds and the CPN without creating additional data traffic. Data Elements from each ISP Access Cloud are used by processing functions of the by the ACSD to test for conditions that indicate that it may be in a DOWN status, when a DOWN status is suspected, other functions in the ACSD initiate transmission of a set of PROBE packets that can determine if the suspect link is actually DOWN or merely giving a response that would be interpreted as DOWN by prior art methods.

Abstract: A Multi-Homing System is equipped with an Adaptive JSP Access Cloud State Detection apparatus (ACSD) that improves the reliability of the availability of digital connections (links) between computer sites, such as a Computer Premises Network and the Internet, in which such connections are made by connecting through a multiplicity of ISP Access Clouds (links). Reliability is improved over prior art methods by using data elements of Internet Protocol datagrams, e.g. record fields or bits of fields, that are regularly and normally exchanged between the ISP Access Clouds and the CPN without creating additional data traffic. Data Elements from each ISP Access Cloud are used by processing functions of the by the ACSD to test for conditions that indicate that it may be in a DOWN status.

  • Patent number: 9767807
Abstract: A method that includes receiving, by a server, an access request sent to a network address of a resource server from a user using a user device, the access request comprising a unique record identifier is provided. The method includes placing a call to the user device, receiving from the user a voice response to a prompt associated with an implied security question for the user, comparing the voice response of the user with a selected voice biometrics record, converting the voice response into a speech-to-text phrase, and comparing the speech-to-text phrase against a stored secret text phrase to verify that the speech-to-text phrase matches an answer to the silent security question. A method for signing a transaction, including collecting a plurality of voice samples from a user during a transaction and concatenating the plurality of voice samples into a single sound file is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20160337349
Abstract: A triple factor authentication in one step method and system is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an Integrated Voice Biometrics Cloud Security Gateway (IVCS Gateway) intercepts an access request to a resource server from a user using a user device. IVCS Gateway then authenticates the user by placing a call to the user device and sending a challenge message prompting the user to respond by voice. After receiving the voice sample of the user, the voice sample is compared against a stored voice biometrics record for the user. The voice sample is also converted into a text phrase and compared against a stored secret text phrase. In an alternative embodiment, an IVCS Gateway that is capable of making non-binary access decisions and associating multiple levels of access with a single user or group is described.

  • Patent number: 9065769
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are described for zero packet loss task migration in an network switch in a computer network. The invention relates to active or programmable networks, i.e. networks based on packet switching algorithms and switch configurations which are subject to change. A well-defined protocol enables an intelligent switch to migrate tasks from one forwarding engine to another without any packet loss. This enables the algorithms and configurations of the switch to be updated or modified arbitrarily.
