Abstract: An auger type icemaker including an evaporator housing having a cylindrical inner freezing surface on which ice crystals may form, an auger mounted for rotary movement within the housing to be driven to scrape ice crystals off the freezing surface and to advance the scraped ice crystals toward an upper end portion of the housing, an extrusion head formed with a plurality of ice extruding passages and axially slidably coupled within an annular space between the upper end portion of the housing and an upper shaft portion of the auger, wherein a screw is threaded into the upper end portion of the housing and engaged with an axial key-groove of the extrusion head to restrict rotary movement of the extrusion head, and a cam mechanism mounted on the upper shaft portion of the auger to effect axial movement of the extrusion head in accordance with rotary movement of the auger and to restrict upward movement of the extrusion head at an upper dead point thereof.

Abstract: A freezer machine wherein ice cream or ice cubes can be selectively prepared by replacement of a removable ice cream-forming container and its associated first stirring element with a removable annular multicell frame assembly and its associated second stirring element. The ice cream-forming container is coupled within a freezing vessel mounted in a box-type cabinet, and the first stirring element is settled in the container to whip the ingredients to be frozen into ice cream. The frame assembly is coupled within the freezing vessel, and the second stirring element is settled in the freezing vessel to stir the water to be frozen into ice cubes within the frame assembly.

Abstract: A flake ice vending machine for vending disposable receptacles filled with a mixture of flake ice and a flavored syrup, and including an auger type ice maker, a storage bin for storing the ice formed by the ice maker, an ice slicer for slicing the ice formed by the ice maker, and a discharge chute for discharging the flake ice formed by the ice slicer. Additional mechanisms are provided for dispensing a flavored syrup into the disposable receptacle and mechanisms for washing the area in which the disposable filled receptacles are provided so as to wash away the surplus syrup and ice.
