Abstract: A sales support method and. a sales support system which can reduce time and effort of a customer due to age verification when sales of age-restricted merchandise are performed. Age estimation information that is information obtained by estimating an age of a customer by using biometric information obtained by observing the customer is acquired, information that is input by the customer is acquired as age information of the customer in a case where the age estimation information is greater than or equal to a second predetermined age, and information based on a medium that the customer possesses is acquired as the age information of the customer in a case where the age estimation information is less than the second predetermined age, and whether the customer is older than or equal to a first predetermined age or under the first predetermined age is determined based on the age information of the customer and the determination result is notified.

Abstract: in sale of age-restricted products, a sales support method and sales support system are provided that allow reduction in time and effort for dealing with false statement of age. The sales support method for supporting sale of age-restricted products include acquiring input information indicating whether a customer is at predetermined age and over or under the predetermined age, acquiring age estimation information indicating age of the customer estimated using biometric information obtained by observation of the customer, determining whether the customer is at the predetermined age and over based on the age estimation information when the input information indicates that the customer is at the predetermined age and over, and notifying determination results.

Abstract: An information providing system includes a supplementary information server that provides supplementary information related to video to be broadcasted, a video receiving device that receives via broadcast the video and first specifying information for specifying the supplementary information related to the video, a terminal device that receives the first specifying information from the video receiving device and second specifying information for specifying the supplementary information from another apparatus different from the video receiving device, and a management unit that discriminates between the first specifying information and the second specifying information to manage frequency with which the terminal device receives the first specifying information.

Abstract: An information provision system provides a program-related information in parallel with broadcast of a television program. The system includes: a program-related information server; a television receiver; and a terminal apparatus. The terminal apparatus includes: a display unit; a program-related information display controller for acquiring the program-related information, and for displaying the acquired program-related information in a first display region on the display unit; and a net information display controller for acquiring net information from a net information server, and for displaying the acquired net information in a second display region on the display unit. The net information display controller displays the net information in the second display region after a lapse of a predetermined delay time.

Abstract: An information providing system includes a television receiver, a user terminal, and a connection state management server each connectable to a network. The user terminal can execute a program for connecting with the television receiver. The connection state management server obtains connection state information including an identifier of the television receiver and an identifier of the user terminal, through a network from one of the television receiver and the user terminal connected to each other. Further, the connection state management server scores a degree of relevance representing a level of relevance between the television receiver and the user terminal connected to each other, based on the obtained connection state information. Furthermore, the connection state management server provides the scored degree of relevance to a request source in response to a request from an outside.
