  • Patent number: 4154389
Abstract: The pan has a bag slipped thereon and projecting into the pan, so that pet waste on the street can be shoveled into the bag. Thereafter the bag can be slipped off the pan and disposed of, thereby permitting reuse of the pan. The pan has a bottom wall, side walls, a rear wall and top wall and is open at the front. The bottom of the bag projects into the pan through the front open end of the pan and the front open end of the bag is folded back to embrace bottom, side and top wall portions of the bag, while the closed end of the bag projects into the pan substantially to the inside of the bottom wall. The bag protects the pan so that pet waste can be shovelled into the bag without the waste touching the pan itself, thereby allowing reuse of the pan several times and allowing application of a fresh bag each time it is used.

  • Patent number: 3995807
Abstract: This pan is made from a single blank of cardboard, cut-scored for easy folding into pan form. In one form of the invention the folded pan is glued to hold its folded or set up shape. In another form of the invention, the blank can be folded into pan shape by the user and held in such shape by applying a piece of adhesive tape. The pan comprises a rear box which is open at the front and has a bottom wall, side walls, a top wall and a rear wall. It also has a bottom portion extending forwardly from the bottom wall, beyond the front open end of the box. The bottom wall of the pan is placed on the street and the waste is shoveled onto the extension and into the box which can then be disposed.
