Abstract: A method and system for memorializing a conversation of a plurality of speakers are disclosed. A sample utterance of each of the plurality of speakers is sampled thereby producing a file of sample utterances each having a characteristic corresponding to one of the speakers. A characteristic of the sample utterances is associated with the corresponding speaker, and the conversation is recorded and saved to a storage medium. A speaker is identified by matching the characteristic of the sample utterance with the conversation utterance, and information regarding the identified speaker is associated with the conversation utterances. A transcript of the conversation is generated that includes information regarding the speaker with a corresponding utterance.

Abstract: A data transfer system that relieves the central processing unit of a personal computer of the burden of controlling data transfers between mass storage devices coupled to a single device controller without utilizing main memory and which also increases the speed of such transfers. The data transfer system works with a computer having a DMA chip by causing the data to be stored in a transfer buffer instead of main memory when the device controller transfers data between the mass storage devices. The data transfer system also enables a data mirroring system for a personal computer by writing the data to the transfer buffer and also to a third mass storage device acting as a backup device. Another aspect of the data transfer system operates in computers having a local bus that couples peripherals to a central processing unit/main memory subsystem through a system controller.

Abstract: The metering cup assembly is disclosed for use in combination with a pneumatic seeding or fertilizing device. The assembly includes a casing which is secured to the underside of a hopper carrying seed, fertilizing or other granular material and the assembly is connected into a conduit in the pneumatic system. A metering component is journalled for rotation in the casing and provides a metering passageway for seed or other granular material therefrom the hopper into the pneumatic passageway. The metering device is adjustable to control the quantity of the material being transferred from the hopper into the conduit.
