  • Publication number: 20200176968
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a power distribution device having a power input and a plurality of power receptacles. The power receptacles are coupled in parallel with each other. A switching circuit is coupled between the power input and the power receptacles. A circuit breaker detects when an aggregate current load of the receptacles is greater than a rating of the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker disconnects the power input from all of the receptacles after a first amount of time following the detection. An electronic controller is configured to disconnect a subset of the receptacles from the power input with the switching circuit to reduce the aggregate current load below the rating of the circuit breaker within a second amount of time following the detection. The second amount of time is less than the first amount of time.

  • Publication number: 20180159098
Abstract: A lithium-ion battery pack includes a housing, a plurality of lithium-ion cells, a first bus bar, a second bus bar, and an interconnect plate. The control circuit includes a printed circuit board that has a longitudinal axis. Each of the cells has a longitudinal axis that is positioned parallel to a longitudinal axis of the printed circuit board. The plurality of cells are all arranged in at least a first cell stack and a second cell stack. The first bus bar electrically couples the printed circuit board to cell terminals of the first cell stack that are adjacent to the first sidewall. The second bus bar electrically couples the printed circuit board to cell terminals of the second cell stack that are adjacent to the first sidewall. The interconnect plate electrically couples the cell terminals of the plurality of lithium-ion cells positioned adjacent to the second sidewall.

  • Patent number: 9467006
Abstract: A three phase to single phase automatic transfer switch for providing power to at least one single phase power load from one of a primary and a secondary source of three phase power. The automatic transfer switch includes three pairs of switches, wherein each pair of switches is connectable to the primary and the secondary sources of three phase power, wherein each switch operates in unison with the other switch within its pair, wherein each pair of switches is connectable to a different one of the at least one single phase power load, and wherein each pair of switches is operable independently of the other pairs of switches.

  • Patent number: 6405247
Abstract: A method and apparatus of integrating the IEEE 1394 protocol with the IP protocol in which the IEEE 1394 high speed serial bus operates as the physical and link layer medium and the IP operates as the transport layer. There are differences in the protocols which require special consideration when integrating the two protocols. The IEEE 1394 configures packets with memory information and the IP operates under channel based IO thereby necessitating a modification of the data transfer scheme to accomplish IP transfers over the IEEE 1394. Further, due to differences in packet headers, the IEEE 1394 packet header is modified to encapsulate IP packets. Moreover, in order to determine network packets quickly and efficiently, an identifier is inserted in each network packet header indicating that the packet should be processed by the network. Finally, in order to support the ability to insert or remove nodes on the network without a loss of data, the IP interface must not be disturbed.
