Abstract: A septic system level detection system includes a means to detect a fluid level within a septic system that indicates a failure or possible impending failure of a septic system and means to communicate an alert of this indication via electronic messaging media. A digitized record of information related to the identified septic system is stored in a database. Upon receipt of a septic system failure alert, at least a portion of the digitized record of information is transmitted via an electronic communications system network, i.e., a network comprising a telephony network and/or the Internet, to a predesignated address of the network.
