  • Patent number: 10605134
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for managing gases suitable for being installed at the outlet of a particle filter or a catalytic converter. This device is characterized by a very compact configuration combining at least the heat exchanger for an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system, particularly suitable for a low-pressure system, and an exhaust gas outlet pipe with a special configuration that is part of the exhaust line. The exhaust outlet incorporates a valve that allows using the heat exchanger of the EGR system as a heat recovery unit.

  • Publication number: 20180171940
Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve with a chassis configured with a specific shape which allows building a compact heat recovery unit, wherein the valve is the main structure of said recovery unit, and wherein it is the chassis itself that establishes the chambers required for managing the gases in the different operating modes of the recovery unit. This compact configuration prevents the existence of conduits intended for connecting components of the recovery unit, requiring less space in the vehicle engine compartment for the installation thereof.

  • Patent number: 9677827
Abstract: The present invention proposes a new design in the configuration of the attachment between the battery of tubes and the shell of a heat exchanger, improving the manufacturing costs and efficiency with respect to the exchangers of the state of the art. The present invention describes a heat exchanger and a process for manufacturing it, which combines the thermal fatigue strength of floating core exchangers with the compact, simple and more economical design of monoblock exchangers, resulting from, among others, a smaller number of necessary manufacturing steps.

  • Patent number: 9088314
Abstract: A method is provided for reducing the peak power level in a combination of orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) tones. The method is particularly effective when the information to be communicated is digital data consisting of long patterns of “1”s or “0”s. The digital data of the message is combined with a scrambling vector before the data is modulated. The randomization of data patterns, in turn, leads to a more random combination of OFDM tone amplitude being transmitted. The message is recovered at the receiver by removing the scrambling vector. An OFDM communication system using the above-described method is also provided.
