  • Publication number: 20240091952
Abstract: A robotic system is disclosed. The robotic system includes (i) a robotic arm positioned in a known location adjacent to a work zone with respect to which the robotic arm is configured to manipulate one or more items, (ii) one or more sensors each positioned in a corresponding fixed location relative to the work zone, and (iii) one or more processors configured to configure the robotic system to use the robotic arm to manipulate the one or more items, the robotic system being configured based at least in part on sensor data, the sensor data comprising information indicative of a relative position of the robotic arm and one or more other objects in the work zone.

  • Publication number: 20210394391
Abstract: Scalable 3D-printing of ceramics includes dispensing a preceramic polymer at the tip of a moving nozzle into a gel that can reversibly switch between fluid and solid states, and subsequently thermally cross-linking the entire printed part “at-once” while still inside the same gel. The solid gel, including mineral oil and silica nanoparticles, converts to fluid at the tip of the moving nozzle, allows the polymer solution to be dispensed, and quickly returns to a solid state to maintain the geometry of the printed polymer both during printing and the subsequent high temperature (160° C.) cross-linking. The cross-linked part is retrieved from the gel and converted to ceramic by high temperature pyrolysis. This scalable process opens new opportunities for low-cost, high-speed production of complex 3-dimensional ceramic parts, and will be widely used for high temperature and corrosive environment applications, including electronics and sensors, microelectromechanical systems, energy, and structural applications.

  • Publication number: 20200281770
Abstract: A combination sleep eye mask and face mask for covering both the eyes and mouth for improved sleeping conditions and privacy in public includes an eye mask body having an outer side, an inner side, an eye portion, a right extension, and a left extension. A first attachment mechanism is coupled to each of the right extension and the left extension and is selectively engageable to secure the eye mask body around a user's head. A face mask body has an outside surface, an inside surface, a right end, and a left end. The face mask body is configured to cover from below the user's nose to below the user's chin. A second attachment mechanism is coupled to each of the right end and the left end and is selectively engageable with the eye mask body to secure the face mask body below the eye mask body.
