  • Publication number: 20020101602
Abstract: Computation and data-storage are minimized in both accounting for element condition and reallocation of print tasks away from subnominal elements. An accounting function maintains an element-condition tabulation partly in a cumulative form—representing element stability directly without later interpretation. A reallocation distributes print burden from a subnominal element to plural other elements without making a new mask. Rather, entries for a poor element in a current mask are shifted prospectively and quickly to other elements serving the same pixel rows.

  • Patent number: 6375307
Abstract: An inkjet printer prints swaths which overlap by, typically, one eighth of their width at each edge, each edge region having a reduced print density so that the combined density of the overlapping regions matches or exceeds that of non-overlapping regions. In a first embodiment, each edge region is printed with 50% printing density. In a second embodiment, the printing mask is modified so that each edge region comprises two sub-regions with differing print densities, e.g. a first outer sub-region with a printing density of 15% and a second sub-region with a printing density of 85%. In a third embodiment only one edge region has a reduced print density and comprises 3 sub-regions with different print densities, e.g. a first sub-region with a printing density of 6.75%, a second one with a printing density of 12.5% and a third one with a printing density of 25%.

  • Publication number: 20020041306
Abstract: A printhead makes passes over a printing medium, each pass forming a swath of marks on the medium. In one aspect of the invention, between passes the medium steps by a nonzero distance that varies from step to step. In another aspect, swath edges are spaced away (ideally well away) from each other. In yet another aspect a printer has a reciprocating carriage—to carry a printhead for forming, in each certain multiple of a half-reciprocation, a swath of marks on the medium. Each head includes multiple printing elements, a number of combinations of groups of which are used to print each region of each swath; the invention increases the number of combinations used to print each region. In still another aspect, the step distance is random or randomized. Ideally these aspects are all used together. Preferably (1) step distance varies at every step—e.g.

  • Patent number: 6016451
Abstract: This invention relates to a Neurological Stabilizer Device and is directed particularly to provide to the human organism a flux of electric current with the purpose of regulating, in certain cases and circumstances, the natural electric impulses of the human organism, in order to maintain them in a regular average with the objective to stabilize the general condition of the human. This body treatment device has an electrically conductive casing with an internal battery holder compartment arranged for extending conductive wire leads from positive and negative terminals of an internal battery in a manner adapted to contact the skin of a human body and conduct battery current through the body skin. One wire lead forms a latch to hold a battery removably within the compartment. The leads preferably are parallel wires spaced approximately three centimeters apart. A binding harness attaches the device to the body with the wire leads in contact with the skin to conduct battery current.
